Besides the skin a V8 Supercar has nothing to do with a Falcon or a Commodore. These things are built in sheds by racing teams and have almost no parts in common with a street car. Both the "Ford" and the "Holden" use a five litre American Motorsport block that would never be offered in either road car. The only reason a Holden or Ford owner should feel superior when their brand wins is because they believe some sales bullshit like this add.
