Looks like our Eubranchipus vernalis here in Virginia.........what distinguishes "neglectus" from Vernalis.... this is exactly what ours look like......... hmmmmmmmmmm..... thanks!
Sorry for the really late response here, but fairy shrimp aer usually out early in the season. Sometimes you can see them under the ice. In Ohio you can probably find them between Feb-end into April.

Must be Eubranchipus neglectus. What was the water temperature, and what time of year was it?

It was in March-the water was still cold (below 50 degrees).
