They should design this with some foam pontoon outriggers so it floats when you're not pushing it........... As soon as you put some effort into moving the pontoons would then lift out of the water and ride above it and if you want to take it easy you could just glide on the pontoons...

I have one and I love it. It is much harder than it looks and is a great workout. It takes practice and determination and is not for the average person who gives up on anything that is not easy. First you must learn to ride it, then you need to build up your endurance to stay on it. Whimps need not apply.
