  • My heart belongs to the 90's

  • Siamese Dream still holds its own today as one of the best albums to ever grace the earth with its presence

  • Shows like this don't exist anymore

  • i fucking love this song sooo much

  • I'm not going to lie, billy looks good in that shirt.

  • man they were so awesome live around this time.

  • don't forget yoshiki hayashi

  • i wish i had 10 years more unfortunately i was born in that year

  • why is it that the songs from early albums are so bloody good!! I was so into Mellon Collie and the infinite sadness, then a friend told me to listen to Siamese Dream years later and well...jeez this song just kills everything and I can't get it out of my head!! It is brilliant.

  • @dicko1ish every song on siamese dream is epic. Pretty much untouchable as best album ever released by anyone, of all time IMO

  • @dicko1ish Mellon Collie is a masterpiece too, maybe not so "in your face" but still.

  • Thumbs up if Smashing Pumpkins is one of your favorite bands!

  • @lubom95030 as if it is unlikely that anyone would regard the pumpkins among their faves AND watch this vid...

  • I miss D'Arcy <3

  • @luciaariaslucia

Me too, this was in Holland, i was actually there.

  • the guy at 0:31 is living in the moment and its a wonderful thing to behold!!

  • D'arcy looking incredibly sexy as always. :)

  • Saw the reincarnation of SP in Manchester in 08. Billy's singing was close to note perfect, but these performances are so much more compelling. Angsty Billy was awesome

  • nice richard simmons hair

  • 2:34

    makes me want to fly

  • Jimmy Chamberlain rocks so hard :D

  • wish i could have been there so bad

  • this is so beautiful it makes me want to cry. take me back to the 90s

  • this video perfectly personifies how fucking awesome music was in the 90's.

  • @FinchMusix and how you could buy a CD and like every song on it rather than buy a song for $.99.

  • 5 people do not feel that love is real.

  • Smashing Pumpkins Hummer > Foals Hummer

  • 5 people listened to this but weren't able to hear it.

  • Listen to that mammoth guitar tone. So fucking heavy yet so crisp and clear and rounded and warm and spacey but direct Siamese Dream the best guitar sound of all time

  • I love this music so intensely sometimes that my heart opens up and I start crying. It is music about unconditional love (God), suffering, sin and salvation, and it's easily up there with Mozart and the rest of the Immortals.

  • Best Pumpkins song ever.

  • solo at the end wow

  • Iha at 2:57 deciding to make things loud

  • They OWN live!

  • Carey definitely #1 alive. Bonham #1 all time.

  • @harleyelizabeth16 clearly you haven't head of Emerson, Lake and Palmer, or King Crimson.

  • Billy with hair!

    YAY! lol

    Pumpkins ftw!

  • please, dead OR alive Kurt Cobain couldn't carry Billy's nutsack

  • 5 people youtube searched for this song live, and did NOT like what they found.

  • The subtle part of the song works so well live with the drums

  • one of the best songs ever. love it

  • You would have to have lived through this part of time to really get it........... Best musical revolution since the 60's was the early to mid 90's........ I am happy I have all these memories to hold dear to my heart!!!! Pumpkins , NIN , Pearl Jam , Soundgarden..... name bands today that can compare ....its the Loc Ness monster it doesn's exist!!!!!

  • I blame the computer. Yesterday's youth was much more passionate, intelligent, and active.

  • @ForgottenSoul700 I am more intelligent then yesterdays youth, also lolnotheyweren't.

  • @dazedandawake,

If you say so..... Oh, and it's than not then. So much for intelligence, huh?

  • @ForgottenSoul700 Attack a typo :P

  • Back at the days they were aliens.. rock poetry.

  • Smashing Pumpkins are my favourite band.

  • This is the jam.

  • I envy all the people who lived through this era. Atleast you could say that y'all experienced great music.

60s to 90s. Back when music had relevance.

  • @Sharingan6277 I was around, but I was like 2 years old. Blows, but at least we've got the music and videos still to listen to and watch. Almost as good.

  • @BlackSabbathory Same. I was 2 when Kurt Cobain died :(

There's a decent band called Silversun Pickups, which are kind of like Smashing Pumpkins.

  • Aahhhh. Good times. Thought it would last forever back then.

  • what does he mean "fat with promise"? like a lot of promises?

  • @SpbillycSp Full of promise :) basically he means that alot of promises he speaks

  • @jimmyguitarman thanks bro i had an idea he just has really deep lines

  • My favourite SP song on Siamese Dream!

  • 2:08, dude got DROPPED!

  • used to listen to this everyday after high school on my walk home. it fit any setting and any mood for me at the time and still does. just a masterpiece of a song right here. with all the quite little medleys and the heavy fuzz riffs just excellent.

  • great times

  • love your love ;) SP is Jesus music

  • I was there!!! And live is the best way to listen to their songs, i find siamese dreams somewhat overproduced!! I gish all of you

  • I'll be forever grateful for my parents deciding to boink in the mid-80s. They gave me the gift of growing up in the '90s and being surrounded by incredible music.

The warm fuzzy guitar tones, the dreamy interludes, Corgan's nasal whisper/scream... goose bumps every time.

Bury me with my copy of Siamese Dream.

  • Great live performers...... years that will never come back......

  • Chamberlain along with Carey are the best drummers of all time.

  • @rolandocbf fucking oats.

  • Comment removed

  • @rolandocbf pete sandoval wrecks them both haha

  • @rolandocbf God damn, i would love to know who you are. You hit it fuckin' perfect. Danny and Jimmy are the best, no doubt about it!!!!!!!!

  • @rolandocbf You are just a genius sir, Jimmy and Danny. Definitely my favourites too.

  • @rolandocbf could not have said it any better brother

  • Iamthebloodyearth, or whatever the fuck you wanna call yourself, no knocks, I just just wanna thank you for posting thing this shit. It get's me through some days.

    Thank you buddy.

  • they should not have gotten rid of this drummer. This guy was so good.

  • wish i could have seen the pumpkins in their prime, damnit

  • At concerts, when I'm behind a chick on someone's shoulders, I like to throw pebbles at the back of head until she comes down. It adds to the grand concert experience.

  • people at concerts act soooo gay.

  • @Xomanowar99

Statues like you should stay home with headphones on, in a dark room, in your parents' house.

  • @Xomanowar99 you're what you feel the word gay means, man.

  • Man, there was nothing like the Pumpkins back then.

  • Listening to this is a bittersweet emotion. It brings back thoughts when music meant something, then knowing we're stuck now in a very sad state of utter shit.

  • everyone should try bring this sound back

  • @paddy6fatty8 agreed

  • smashing pumpkins never gonna die

  • billy corgan is a hugely underrated guitarist. love the way he stares into space while playing intricate solos

  • 4:56 -Billy outside space

  • 4:50 -Billy is outside space

  • When Billy tries to hit a high note, it's just embarrassing.

  • What is "Hummer"? A car? A feeling?

  • awesome performance, can't wait til their new album in 11

  • to me, i believe smashing pumpkins IS THE BEST BAND OUT THERE reasons why 1. all members are awesome 2. soo many different styles and melodies 3. corgan kicks ass 4. dar'cy is hot 5. no show is the same. they always switch it up 6 they have soo many songs. its always a suprise with what they play. 7. they were the 90's. they should be as famous as nirvana is. kurt cobain didnt even wanna be famous lol 8. man they can shred on guitar. and jimmy chamberlin is a beast on drums . .. need i say more
  • God that's amazing, to see music pouring out of 4 people all at the same time in such a beautiful way.

  • Billy is a complete TOOL nowadays. Back then... he was a fucking god.

  • @kirkfnw anybody that says billy's a tool needs to do some research, he wasn't a "control freak" he was a creative genius that didn't want to see his best friends turn into a bunch of drug addicts and die like their live keyboardist did.. ill admit hes been a bit weird recently, but i'd be weird to if i was in a great band like this and it all crumbled

  • @ILOVESHIT2000 Don't remember calling him a control freak, but he is a tool. Doesn't mean I liked the albums from 1991-2001 any less.

  • Oh the control freak bits more of a shout out to everybody that may say that

  • @ILOVESHIT2000 1,000 percent agree

  • whoever posted this, i love you.

  • rad

  • agree 100% with Russell the pumpkin i love it.

  • WTF why is it every goddman Smashing Pumpkins video i go to some idiot compares them to Nirvana wtf?

  • @MetalFeast9 I think because they (including myself) feel a little bitter that Nirvana is considered the band of the '90's when the Pumpkins music is clearly better.

  • @thetheRedundant Thats how it always is..there is always going to be awsome bands that dont get reconition

  • @MetalFeast9 Fuck Nirvana Smashing Pumpkins is better.

  • @ShimmySystem Hell yeah

  • @MetalFeast9 Cuz they don't realize what real music is. I loved Nirvana, but they don't even touch the talent of Billy and SP.

  • @MetalFeast9 cause people is ignorant and stupid

  • One of the best outros ever.

  • those four really knew how to jam. this is so awesome

  • SOMMER SONIC 2010(JAPAN)行きます!billyに会える!

  • @kanjishokunin yeah nigga!

  • this album helped me cope through high school...will always be my favorite no matter what b/c it holds a place in my heart and soul.

"ask yourself a question, anyone but me, i ain't free...."

  • amazing

  • Fuck man . This must be the song ive played on youtube the most .This was the real Pumkins . affeter 15 year this song still make fell teh same as back em so Emocional , so Truht . Thx u pumpkins for so much

i love all corgan music , but he cant never can make this kind of song .

  • Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog, etc. made my childhood. Amazing stuff.

  • @DeathDjango so right...for me Pearl Jam and The Pumpkins were the 90's...two of the greatest bands ever - of any decade...

  • always loved the main riff and solo, it's got a kinda hopeful feeling to it

  • A guilty pleasure of mine is watching people with absolutely no command of the drum kit in real life play their hearts out on the air drum kit live in concert. I wish their was a youtube video of just that. Hours long.

  • Corgan wrote all the parts and played everything but the drums on the album,So,how did D'Arcy and Iha offer something unique? They were just hired guns to play Corgan's songs.HE IS THE SMASHING PUMPKINS

  • i'm a big fan of both nirvana and the smashing pumpkins. both are exceptional bands. i don't think it's appropriate to compare them. besides, arguments like this have no ending anyway.

  • @komunista94 took the words right outta my mouth

  • i wish the original lineup could get back together. each member offered something really unique to the table and they complemented each other. most of their early work especially is criminally under appreciated, especially in terms of the songwriting. i think it's so cool that they were able to recycle a combination of 70's power pop riffs, sludgy 90's guitar tones, super cold/dry goth bass tones, electronica etc. and make it sound completely fresh.

  • 2:06 - 3:26 <3

  • i was just watching hummer live at the fillmore 07 and he sounds the same incredible

  • billy looks bad ass with hair, he should grow it out again

  • This is one of the best songs ever created on planet Earth. I will listen to this for the rest of my life.

Peace to all Pumpkins fans who know what I'm talking about.

  • @924dre924 true bro

  • @924dre924 Hell yes. The song, whether Billy meant it or not, is an epic melodic journey that experiences moments of monumental turmoil and grandiose fury and swiftly sees serene beauty and soft, considerate harmonies...so fantastic in every way.

  • That dude air drumming is having a damn good time.

  • This song is fucking amazing!!!!!

Do you feel love is real? Yes, I do

  • shame my tongue fat with promise all along

  • this and snail are my favorite songs to drum to

  • I love the intensity of the dude in the front row with the lightning bolt shirt on when jimmy brings it in the middle of the intro!!! One of my favorite pumpkin songs!!!!!!

  • silverburst les paul!

  • Very good reason why they are my favourites :)

  • its too bad they didnt get along through the years caue they were truly amazing but thats how it is, people should apreciate the present too

  • @joao1988pedro I'd appreciate the present if the music was worth my time. If i could get people my age to listen to this theyd ditch that horsecrap that comes from people like lady gaga, beyonce and the least talented of all Kesha. WHO LET HER NEAR A RECORD LABEL i thought they were supposed to keep those people out!! Doof doof sucks ass too bring back rock n roll. Music just isnt worth my time because the past is where its at!

  • lifes a bummer when you drive a Hummer

  • nowadays it is XD

  • @iloveheartyloaf LMAOOOOO!!! I said that exact shit to a friend's dad who recently bought a hummer.

  • 94' great time in my life

  • Amazing how 15 years later this still sounds so much better than pretty much everything else ever since!

  • @CoroaMario1 probably because there's been nothing like it since.

  • this is a nice performance.... good vocals by billy and not that bad sound quality.

  • This looks like it would have been one of their best concerts to be at. Awesome to see the video.

  • great song

  • This song has given me goosebumps for over 15 years now, damn music hasn't been the same

  • On of the best songs ever !! life's a bummer when you're a hummer.......

  • the 34,370 people who viewed this video actually get it. This shit makes me want to cry.

  • Can we all just meet in one place away from those who don't.

  • SICKKKKKK

  • back when people actually appreciated originality. brilliant performance.

sorry, but this lady gaga stuff is not "original."

  • Everything the pumpkins did up until mellon collie was pure gold nothing will ever top 'Gish', 'Siamese Dream', and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness'. So sad they were so bad ass.

  • couldnt afree more with that im not so keen on all of the mellon collie songs but i love pisces iscariot also but its my opinion when i say i honestly think machina adore etc suck balls they changed to much and i lost interest and the big leather robes etc didnt help much either but anyway this song is amazing and great live you need to be very talanted to make your mind make a song like this

  • Adore was pretty good

    Machina was ok ...

  • Also aeroplane flies high I believe was released in 97 was pretty awesome.

  • 96 in the box set with the same title

  • The thing about the Pumpkins is that after Jimmy left in 1996, they never really recaptured the magic, even when he did return. What made them so good was a love of music, totally different personalities and their youthfulness. Anyone who thinks the band is just Billy and Jimmy is wrong cos without James and D'arcy you lose the whole point of the band.

  • I agree with the comment, but for the most part all bands lose some of the magic cause it's not the same anymore. You get money and less time to really work hard on the music. Also, when you are struggling you have something to prove.

  • are you free...

  • Corgan is not the fucking foundaton. Are you kidding me? Smashing Pumpkins are Billy, James, Jimmy, Darcy. They are not the Pumpkins without James, Darcy had a very specific style too

  • billy wrote most of the music, and on the albums if he didn't like how james and d'arcy played it, he would overdub it with himself.

  • False .

  • its true, I read it somewhere I forget where. but its understandable if Billy did play most of the album work, some songs have 40-80 guitar tracks layered over each other

  • @BlackTeddies

True, soma has over 70 guitar tracks layered over each other

  • I'd agree about James, he's such an underrated guitarist

  • yeah, Darcy brings to the band a lot of wonderfull energy and good vibrations, and James is rly underrated guitarist and such a nice guy! Band is not only a instrumental show, but firstly people and their relations! You can't build a band like that with an assholes or something... Pumpkins 4ever!!! Darcy and James, we miss you!

  • This song is just incredible. I love this song & have been listening to it quite frequently for the past two months. And, I just looked up the lyrics....now I like it even more. This song is the turkey's tits. (I just made that up)

  • Love this song, one of my favourites by the Pumpkins! Just love this band. I've been listening to them since I was about 13 and I've grown up with them, they mean so much to me! I've shared both happy and sad moments with their music. :)

  • Lif'e's a bummer...hmmm... Hummer...

  • corgan doesn't get enough credit for being a good guitarist, he just gets recognition as a composer. which i guess is pretty good too.
