En Vogues X Factor was Dawn. When SHE left, that group went down....and I'd have to disagree with you on the vocals. They're about even. Plus EV had more members to layer the sound.

You think Beyonce was DC's X Factor and in terms of them gaining popularity, you;re right. But vocally, Michelle set the apart from the rest with raspiness/texture/range of the vocals. I love raspy voices. My fave girl groups:

Technically EnVogue and DC have the same amount of members (former members included) 6, and in both groups theres never been more than 4 at a time. The major difference with EnVogue is they didnt have a lead singer, they all shared the mic, and they all were in a equal position to (maybe terry or Dawn a little more) but every member got an equal amount of time in the spotlight

i love both groups but i find en vogue are more solid as a group - their harmonies sound smoother and they don't shout high notes which DC do quite often but DC are talented.

i think en vogue are quite underrated which is a pity

i agree that they did very wel but you obviouslydont really no destiny's child's music if you you that there are only a few times that that they harmonized well together. check out all of their live performances on you tube and you'll see. their harmonies are one of the major aspects of their group along with powerful dances numbers on heels, meaningful songs, and, not to mention, their stylish wardobe.

99% of their live performances use backing tracks of pre recorded vocals. Sure, individually they are all excellent. However, they very rarely sang a song totally live unless it was acapella or acoustic. It's a shame, they needed to work harder in giving everybody a proper live show as opposed to live solos and mimed chorus'. It's just laziness.
