Nice reviews, good playing too! Just about to buy some DA's he's recomended these but I'm wondering if the bridge is a little too high a boost from the neck and mid? also looks like you've got tone controle on all 5 posistions, how did you do that?
@cmgill2 The bridge actually balances quite well - David explained that the wire he used for the bridge gets a thicker, fuller sound without necessarily being so much louder. Also, it's alot easier to back off the pickup height when the bridge is a little hot - if you have a weaker bridge I find it harder to balance with the naturally louder middle and neck positions. Tone controls - only the neck and bridge are hooked up - the middle is wide open - it's the "Jimmie Vaughan/Eric Johnson" mod...
Maybe I missed it but I wish you could have shown how well the tone cleans up just by the manipulation of the guitars volume pot. Also the useable tone between clean and full on dirty no matter how pushed the amp is. Thanks for the two posts. These are the p'ups for my next Strat build. David is brilliant!
Thank's for that TR, you put my mind at rest, I'll go for these and let you know how it comes out,,,

Nice playing....sounds like I'll be getting these next. I already have the cs Hot Vintage 54's and love them. Time for the Hendrix vibe now.
