Great game. PS2, PSP, or DS, they all have something to offer. Sadly the DS version is the weakest of the three (lower graphical and sound quality and 90% of the voice acting removed), but it's still got its own unique charm of being on a Nintendo system.

Besides, if you're crafty like I am, you can just put the voice overs onto an mp3 player and listen to that while playing the DS version. :D

Compared to the ps2 version the ds version lacks sound and graphics but otherwise pretty much the same gameplay.Disgaea 2 and makai kingdon seem a bit easier than disgaea 1 but they are all fun :D

This trailer is what convinced me to play the game. I hated Final Fantasy Tactics when it first came out on the psx and ever since I refused to play any tactical RPG until this. I saw my friend watching a cutscene and I figured well at least it's light hearted so it should be easy to get into. That was 2 years before I tried it though. It wasn't until this trailer showed me that the gameplay could be eventful too that I decided to give it a shot. I'm really glad I had a change of heart.

Try 5-3, 10-1, 12-3, Last episode stage 1, or CoO3. The last one might be too hard. Just fight in that stages over and over again. It should not be hard to reach 100. Now getting to 4000 is another story, especially for thieves.

because unlike ordinary magicians, flonne only has three spells, power of love, divine arrow, and holy beam, for her to learn other spells you have to make her learn them from other mages... and it will take time...

Not really. It's only ridiculous when you get to level 9999, then reincarnate your character so they start at level 1 again and they keep their stats. So then you level them up to 9999 again, and pretty much just keep going.
