why are the songs so quick? It is off...it is just great, but that bothers me...most of vocal groups are doing this, because they think that we would be bored by waiting during pauses...nah such a shame
All I can say is that a melodic angelic sound resonates through all your songs. I am surprised I have not heard about you guys before. I stumbled into you guys by accident. Just an unbelievable sound from all four of you together.
das is so traurig, ich will schon lange mit meinen friends mehrstimmigen gesang mit gitarre ausprobieren, aber die sind alle so talentlos und würdigen gar nich die arbeit die ich mir deswegen mach... :*(
A very nice live performance. I've come to realize that the members of this group can listen to 3 things at a time very well. When singing a cappella, those 3 things turn out to be one another. Add an instrument and you've added a forth thing that distracts them from taking care of business. The instrument really has to add a lot to the performance to offset what is lost with the distraction. You have to try different things to know which you do best.
I don't need to comment on your voices because they are so great. But compare Lindsey to the lady in green - don't know her name: The lady in green is the one who attracts attention immediately! She is the one that (in this video) is spotted by the audience when you all enter the stage. Please, another thing: When the song is over, don't just turn around and leave! Let the audience enjoy your attention a few seconds: Smile, waive hands, bow or whatever, but please salute the audience!
I agree with young95 (see comments below) about the balance, and other people have commented the balance as well. When there's a lead singer, the rest of the voices should be lowered slightly, so the lead steps forward. This is obvious when you sing Earth Angel in the Doowop medley.
The organist ruined it? Spare me. This medley is perfect! I've been involved with vocal groups for 45 years.Wish I had a Music teacher dedicated enough to pull something like this off. My first group "The Five Chancells"(Bronx NY) didn't even use a pitch pipe! I have produced my own music(I'll get it on U Tube soon), sang with The Bob Knight Four(1990s), Times Square, and am currently with "The Jaynells" out of The Bronx. Keep up the beautiful singing Ladies! Truly Steve(da Bird) Willette
I am not so sure its the organ as much as it is the overall sound quality. What happens in sound reinforcement is that a good "live" sound rarely translates into a good recorded sound. You also need a MUSICIAN at the sound board who can identify the individual voices, and balance them out with nothing but the ear. I have reinforced concerts where the sound equipment is worth tens of thousands of dollars, but nothing has been invented yet which can replace a good ear and sense for the music.

That's nice, but since Simon and Garfunkel created it to nearly scientific perfection, it automatically knocks almost anyone else's version down a notch or two.
I think this setup works better with your sound, as the lows are on the outside. Means you guys (far left/far right) kind of control the sound, and not trying to be mean or anything, but the lows are usually more stable and reliable than the highs, and that is in any musical group, be it instrumental or vocal. Keep it up guys :D
The Mama's and the Papa's were the epitomy of four-part harmony, so it makes sense this group would sing those songs.

The organist does you no favours. You are brilliant singers, acapella suits you best, other than that a full orchestra. Keep going, you will go far.
