If Canadians seem more reasonable to him it's only because Conservatives, Liberals, NDP and the Green Party all join together to laugh at Americans. If he spoke specifically about Canadian issues ( ie - the economy vs the environment regarding the tarsands ) he'd notice the similarities between the Canadians and the Americans.Canada has more than its fair share of assholes and kooks on the left and the right

Canada has an entire portion of the country set aside for the natives. a big one too. Do we have a place designated for native american autonomy.

@TheloniousDrake7 Erm, the Natives aren't exactly granted autonomy there (they have to jump through hoops with the amusingly offensively-named Dept of Indian Affairs to do anything). The Brits did do their best to eradicate the Natives at first, and later tried to force them to assimilate with the Residential schools, where horrible abuses took place. Also, the provinces that became Canada had slavery until the 1830s
