  • at minute 8 i camee... what a nice tone..

  • ED YOON SENT ME!

  • does the sound comes from the vypyr... i dont think so

  • so, just plug in to iPhone, the play the guitar? no need to install any aplication?

    \m/_

  • Update 1.2 available - there's a special deal on the Summer 2011 bundle which is all the new gear ;-)

  • I just made a quick recording on ampkit with my guitar and my playing was crap. Can someone tell me where i go to delete the stuffing thing. There does not seem to be a delete option on it and the peavey website info offers little insight. Someone mentioned a pencil icon but i don't see one anywhere. Suffering crapcakes, it should be the most obvious button on the recording section. Everyone makes mistakes we need to delete them. In the words of the Spencer Davis Group - Somebody Help Me Yeah!

  • @rplende If you go to the recordings menu, there's a pencil icon in the top left of the screen. Press this, and small red icon's will appear next to your recordings, select this and "DELETE" will appear on the right hand side of the file - then just tap delete and it's gone!

  • I have a question ,how did you connect your iphone to an amp,or stero out?

can i connect it to a real amp?

  • @LOLSuper87 a 3.5mm stereo mini jack to two 1/4inch jacks in this instance. You would want to connect the Ampkit Link to whatever you'd plug an iPod into normally, i.e, something of a flat frequency response (PA, Hifi, Stereo, headphones etc.) - Because Ampkit is recreating the sounds of a guitar amp, if you were to plug into one then you'd be doubling the effect and the sound would be harsh...

  • shit if you add expression unit and footswitch it would be perfect!!!! God Damn i'm still in shock...I-phone,everything except selfphone :):)

  • good video, like how you actually know what your doing unlike some other videos about this... i actually might try this now.

  • @6:01 Metallicaaaaaa... Orion

  • THAT NEVER WILL KILL THE BOSS PEDALS AND OTHER STUFF CAUSE YOU CANT USE AN I POD FOR THE STAGE!! Guitar player: wait i change mi pedals :D half our later.. singer: DUDE THE GIG IS OVER!! guitar player:... D:

  • @SLASHonGunsNRoses

If it won't i think it's not because it can't be used on scene ... I think IPhone and many other devices that have 4pin jack are capable of changing track in music apps and do many other features ... why not use it and implement this option in to the software and attach some other out for external pedal ?

  • how do i hook up ma footswitch to an ipod D:

lmaooooooo this is sick tho :D

  • Can you Say good bye guitar pedals and multi effects processors. this is going to kill that entire industry now that every ozzy dick and Harry owns an IPOD

  • @Gyro911 Highly Doubtful it's going to kill an industry - but it will be a great back-up rig for any gigging guitarist. Your amp craps out - plug this baby into the PA and finish the night. Avoid complete humiliation. Or, if you need to break down and go play a wedding - rig in your pocket.

  • Better than iRig ;)

  • I want this for Garage Band iPad.

  • can i use this with any speakers like my pc's speakers??? and something else can i use it with my peavey 6505 Combo???

  • @meima17 see above re: the 6505 - but plugging into your PC speakers is fine!

  • So, if I buy the $20 app, do I get all the amps and pedals?

  • @Gregchilcott no i don't think so. you get alot more then the free version but there is more stuff you can buy through the in app store

  • @Gregchilcott nope it only gives you some pedals all the mics and other 3 amps

  • @Gregchilcott nope!

  • @dj0431 The backing track is running within the App. Ampkit comes with backing tracks for you to jam along with but you can also add anything you like from either your computer or iPod by going to Recordings and pressing the upload button in the top right hand corner. Any more info you need on that then check the "Info" section within the app. Thanks.

  • does it work with the iRig-cable?

  • @creamer88 You can always try - Ampkit Link is designed especially for the Ampkit app though and has the advantage of being active (powered) which can avoid any crosstalk problems that can happen with a passive unit. The Ampkit Link however works seamlessly with all other guitar app's i've tried! Tom

  • Can I hook this up to a iPod dock and use that as a amp?

  • @hagirl62 This can be done - although as you're using a third party piece of hardware not specifically designed for the Ampkit Link or Ampkit App then we can't guarantee what sort of quality you'll be getting :) Tom.

  • anyone know the title of the music played 06:52 or is it improvisation?

  • @DonaldCobain2B It is one of my own tracks for demo's. Tom.

  • anyone using these gadgets in a gig?thats wat i am looking forward to our next gig...

  • how do i run ampkit to my amp that question never seems to be answered anywhere and what about impedance issues if any? I know it's possible but i can't find any specific info i am so interested due to the cost to benefit over purchasing stomp boxes etc.

  • @TheMisfits1977 I think you just need to the output of the ampkit to your amp "Tape/Cd". I don't know if this would work but that's how I would do it.

  • @TheMisfits1977 For best results, you can plug Ampkit Link into anything you'd plug an iPod into normally (i.e, something with a flat frequency response). Therefore, headphones, home stereo's, car stereo's even, PA's etc. I've had it plugged into acoustic amps, huge PA's, a monitoring system I have at home, a 5.1 surround sound cinema system, my own personal hifi in my living room etc... Tom

  • And as has already being said, you can plug it into an AUX in on a standard guitar amp if needs be.

  • @TheMisfits1977 i have a 1/4 inch trs adaptor to 1/8 that seems to work for me

  • 5:56 ORION!!! u do that great man great job

  • Comment removed

  • I just got One cuestion, it has to be that plug? I´m mean is there other kind of plug, different brand or something?

  • Nice review...tell us about the connections.. it looks like your using a heavy duty 1/8 plug coming out of the Link into the amp..are you using RCA plugs in back?? Also can you make this thing wireless using Line 6 G30??? Thanx

  • @jasonfxcom Sorry for the delay on this - guitar plugged straight in, output is a 3.5mm stereo jack to 1/4 inch jacks (left and right).

  • and you can use a Wireless system if you please!

  • does it have a phasor effect?

  • @Guitardude1211 Ya but it doesnt have a lot of good effects...Like wah.. :(

  • @TpSLAPADAbass You can buy wah for a couple bucks in the app.

  • @Guitardude1211 Yes, there is a phaser pedal you can purchase in the Gear Store.

  • damn the last part made me want to buy this shit EVEN MORE great demo.

  • Sweet Demo!

  • Great demo! Shared it at iPad Music on facebook.

  • That looks really cool and would be useful say if you want your sounds on a practise amp as well as on stage, you just bring your ampkit/iphone with you.
