  • Nice I hope I get as much for my first time ;)

  • Hon, they were mmm, mmm good! And that was from hubby who is not really demonstrative. lol I just harvested more from this years/late last year planting. Did one video on the first few I got out and need to upload the one from Friday.

Don't see why not. Try it and see.

  • Thanks for posting! This is really encouraging. We grow many other things, but the husband has been hesitant about potatoes. I am definitely going to try it this spring!

  • Glad I could help. I'm going to try them again also in November. The ones I planted in June petered out in August. I guess it's just too hot here in the summer and we did not get much rain.

  • We had little rain here as well. My cukes died out on me, peppers did not do well at all either.

  • go sis...it looks great very inspiring. my moms is also loving these videos as i had her watch since she's a gardening nut...keep up the great videos!

  • Thanks hon. I really appreciate it.

  • Great advise it will make the videos easier to find and give you more views. I didn't know it took potatoes that long to grow. I got a bag in the kitchen I didn't use guess I'll try sprouting them.

  • Put them in a dark place and they will sprout.

I did not set out to grow potatoes. I was starting a new bed and had used potato peels that had sprouts on them as one of my layers. I used to pull the vines as they came up. I got to thinking one day, mmm I wonder will potatoes grow from these.

The ones I'm growing now are from potatoes I've left whole that had a sprout on it.

I'm no expert, I just love to learn and share what I've learned especially if it helps someone.

  • I welcome the suggestion. I'm really bad when it comes to expressing myself. When uploading I draw a complete blank in trying to come up with tags for the videos.

It took 4-6months. I've looked up the info for the sweet potato that I planted it says 6 months. I just hope I can get them through the summer.

    Thanks for the encouragement.
