  • andy s not asian ?.... just askin ...

  • I love it! Very Petrucci-esque.

It's quite appropriate that he is playing a JP Music Man

  • R.I.P to the last girl he fingers.....

  • I will sell my soul to the devil to play like Andy James.

  • reminds me petrucci style

  • i really think lick library should do a jason becker dvd. he was one of the greatest untillou gehrig's disease got the best of him, i would buy a copy for sure, he is an inspiration to many

  • fail , missing notes , and it's anything but smooth.

  • what's song is this?

  • Andy is obviously an outstanding player, I'm just curious as to why he avoids using his pinky?

  • @rolz420 its not he tries to avoid using it its just the way he developed his playing style , he has a big strecth between 1st and 3rd fingers - its just how he plays

  • That pinky is missing all the action...

  • how many frets do i need to have to play this lesson?

  • This song sounds like something Muse would play.

  • Hi every one...can someone tell me if the tunning of 7 lead guitar is a same for 5 bass guitar?what are the tune of 7 strings?thanks..

  • @MsMiando B E A D G B e, so yes, the tuning is the same as a bass.

  • @d1rkSMATHERS thanks man

  • regardless of his age.... he's beast

  • Man... every time i watch amazing guitarists like this, it kind of makes me want to die a little lol great piece.. just wish i were anything close to that good haha

  • Not to sound judgmental but his style reminds me of Vinnie Moore, Tony MacAlpine, and a bit of Jason Becker

  • Tabs, I Want Tabs For This

  • that's arpeggio D minor scala

  • Watching non teenagers play their own stuff is nice for a change. it gives me hope that i'll be able to get through uni and further education without giving up my guitar which is basicially my entire teenage life

  • 5 people make justin bieber guitar covers xD

  • I really liked 2:25-2:50, 4:00-4:40 but I feel that the rest lacked in melody, and was a bit repetitive. Though, I may be mistaking that as part of a verse. If so, than nice work on a total mindf*** of a song.

  • what guitar is this??? please respond

  • @fraenkel97 A Music Man JP 7 String, not a Ball Family Reserve :)

  • omfg the awesomeness of this guy never ends!

  • my inspiration¡¡¡

  • This is a 7 string guitar but are the licks compatible with a 6 string ?

  • @licklibrary Can you tell me what pedals he uses? Like when he does his extreme metal solos videos

  • I was completely blown away when i first saw this blazed as shit. ha ha!

    This dude is amazing.

  • I can also play this... if i work 26 hours a day for the next 15 years...

  • is this possible to learn?

  • Fantastic!!!

  • Also, can anyone tell me what that little doohicky at the top of the neck is called? I wanna invest in one.

  • @Valentineskidd that's just a hair band, it's used to mute "unwanted noises", it's good for fast shredding and tapping.

  • @WencesWasHere Oh right, I did think that but I thought it was a little guitar tool haha. It still plays an open string though so that's weird.

  • @Valentineskidd It doesn't put much pressure on the strings, so you can play them normally. Try it, it's a excellent tool. :)

  • Kinda sounds like Muse to me. Well near the start it does. Awesome.

  • Andy should do Learn to play Symphony X DVD!

  • AMAZING, and well played sir!

Did anyone notice that he lifts his thumb off of his pick at 1:44?

  • The ones that dislike this.. i would like to see you get anywhere near as good as this...

  • this is one of the most shred-melodic solo's i have ever heard/witnessed. Kinda reminds me of Marty Friedmand/Paul gilbert/John Pretrucii

  • Nice to see Andy kickin' ass with a 7-string. The man's talent is beyond inspirational and he's a great teacher as well. *thumbs up!*

  • speechless O.O

  • @anechkaosina maybe they are women and mayb they hate the guitar's color

  • Good thing he had that low B string on there!

  • could you guys please cover some of allan holdsworths style of playing, like in a quick licks with some theory. would been awesome!

  • Just when I start to get a feel for sweep picking, this guy comes along and through his guitar says to me "Go home little bitch"......im in the corner crying right now lol

  • This is so good it got to be illegal!

  • Great!

  • I hate you and love you at the same time, SO CONFUSED

  • Fucking beautiful i just learned a thousand things watching this.Fucking Ripper!!!

  • This is just a little too much for my liking

  • I need to get someone to remind me to breathe while watching this!

  • Lotta tapping in this, and I'm not a huge fan of that technique.. but the way he does those multiple taps on the sweeps is innovative! Might buy this soon..

  • Its a sin to have a 7th string and not use it for evil sounds

  • @rrryyytttiiisss agreed, but if you're referring to him not using the 7th B string, its since this is for a DVD, he has to use the standard tuning, because not everyone can tune to like B standard to learn this haha.

  • @rrryyytttiiisss Sin is evil, right?

  • @rrryyytttiiisss that made me cry..... is this not evil enough?

  • The laws of physics don't allow him to play like this but he does anyway.

  • @tokojojiji and thier website doesnt allow me to buy this with a visa but i try anyway :(

  • Amazing .

  • danny gill, andy james - these guys make lick library so famous. Make a dvd "how to play disturbed" and i wont ever hesitate getting platinum membership.

  • He is too good.

  • 2:09 - 2:20 sounds like Stockholm Syndrome from muse

  • @elGranMatrak0 true :)

  • What in the heck tuning is he in?

  • @blackalbino360 I guess it's a hybrid: Drop D plus the seventh string in any tuning since he doesn't use it.

  • Andy James just came in your ear pussies

  • I loved the part when he use the SEVENTH STRING. lol lol lol lol

  • sounds epic need to give this a try :P i love the bit that sounds like stockholme syndrome by muse at 2:08 this guy is pure talent

  • Cheating with the hair band..... haha of course I'm joking.. you fool..

  • I guezz it'z great but boy doez it get boring afterawhile lol

  • He is such an incredible guitar player, but I suggest using thumb picks for this kind of playing style. :)

  • @krivatakirka Thumb-picks aren't as practical...I mean if all you did was JUST tap, then yea, get a thumb-pick.. but Andy does much more than this, so it would hinder some other techniques, like pinch harmonics which are almost a necessity in the rock guitar/metal style.

  • @jimiclaptoncarl18 yea Thumb picks are for old ladies

  • Isn't it a re-uploaded video? why? ^^
