I am in the process of divorcing a narcissist. I can only liken it to a merry go around. You never know what you're going to get. If he loves you that day, or if the fate of your life will be total demise because something happened to him. He got the ultimate kill shot in getting fired recently and the day it happened I said to myself inside "my marriage is over". I knew I was going to pay the price for what he did. I immediately went into extra admiration mode but to no avail another affair....
You nailed it , so to the point! Sadly, as I listen to you,Sam , my mind shifts from my abuser to the ones I inadvertently have abused : ( seeing the same pattern. But I have hope for myself and others through Jesus Christ , with him I can change! And so can everyone else , with the Holy Spirit ,otherwise without hope, what would any of us narcissist have ,but a miserable, empty shell of a life ?Like a drug addict that is living only for the next high ?
