  • @puertoricanb0i14 The Celtic Woman shows I have seen have shown NO lip-synching (I was sitting in the 2nd row). They sang live, period.

  • @puertoricanb0i14 SHUT THE FU

  • 41 likes Justin Bieber & Lady Gaga

  • Can we not have a discussion of race mar the front page for such an amazing piece of music? Please?

  • I LOVE CHLOE

  • @LokiusMaximus you bastard, wtf is wrong with Muslims?

  • Máiréad should be my wife. No other man is worthy of such a Goddess.

  • I can feel it.

  • Perhaps the most beautiful music I've ever heard. Fitting that it's played by the most beautiful women that I've ever seen

  • OMFG!!!! Awesome Level: GOD

  • Orla FTW. <3

  • My favorite song :D

  • the first thing my girlfriend said was how the fuck did she run in those heels like that i was to busy listening to see that

  • if you wake up and the first thing you see and hear are these angels you think you have died and went to heaven

  • Everyone wants to try and pick favorites out of these women but the fact is...........there is so much talent as a collective that it trumps all other forms of music, syncronizing like that is just amazing.

  • @shankj87 I think you are right. Go to any Caeltic Woman party where the ladies, the backup singers, the band, orchestra and all the muscicians are present... then toss a pebble anywhere into the room and it'll bounce off three or four world class musicians before it hits the floor.

  • can you really jump around like that and still play the violin that perfectly? i sure can't.

  • @TheNatydiazo takesyears of practice and you have to know how to land softly sliding

  • it would be even the coolest if mairead can sing like the 5 celtic woman and play the violin at the same time :(

  • Thank you Celtic Ladies for bringing to us all a song about nature! ^.^

  • I sang this song in my high school choir, we couldn't match them, Celtic Woman is AMAZING!!!!

  • The only woman, who can make the moon to flight.

The only woman, who make the heavens bright.

The only woman, who can turn night into day.

Celtic woman, who can makes straights of those who are gay.

I would turn for them! For sure!

  • Absolutely amazing....especially the solo in the middle!

  • the wee blonde with the violin seems to be a feisty wee moicher! (as we would say in Blairgowrie)

  • I remember vividly. It was a dreary cold Sunday afternoon back in late December 2006. I was lounging on the sofa flipping through the channels trying to find something decent to watch when I happened to switch over to the local PBS station at the exact moment this concert started. Next thing I knew I was transported to another world of the most stunningly beautiful sights and sounds I've ever experienced. Simply magical. A big thank you to Mr. Downes the ladies and the band. Bravo!

  • @ole9421 I know exactly what you mean! Same thing for me, on the couch flipping through channels, except I tuned in at just at the beginning of Orla's Isle of Innisfree. I pledged $100 immediately so I could get the DVD to see what I had missed before tuning in...

  • я ТащУУсь)) мне оочень нравится эТ а пеесня!!!!!!!!!!!обожааю*

  • Hayley Westenra is amazing as always

  • @SayYesToFreedom I believe that too but I think this stereotypically, if you will, happens when things go big. Celtic Woman was never meant to be, until all of a sudden it was and they have blossomed since their first show. I started listening to them in 2006 so it was still in the earlier years for me, too. I do enjoy it. I can still remember listening to Orinoco Flow at the Helix and seeing Lisa for the first time. I was so noobish and asked who it was! Enjoy the new; remember the old.

  • This was when they were amazing, they're worse now. It saddens me.

  • they are AMAZING in concert so are celtic thunder so far ive seen them put together 10 times ive seen celtic thunder 7 times and women 3 times

  • @SayYesToFreedom Where did you hear the new show? I was under the impression that the complete, finished show will not be seen until December.

  • @IntoTheMystical Although I haven't heard the show, I've heard Lisa Lambe. As wonderful as she is, she doesn't really fit Celtic Woman and the group's style. In the "Songs from the Heart" music, I prefer Alex and Lynn to her. And of course, nothing gets better than Orla and Meav.

  • @exploringsurviving..Well if you haven't heard the Believe performance then you haven't heard Lisa Lambe sing with Celtic Woman have you?! Take a listen to the PBS trailer...Lisa Lambe is extremely talented and she fits right in with CW..

  • @gaeilge1O1 I have seen videos on YouTube of Lisa Lambe doing songs like "Dulaman" in Lynn's place, as well as in the group songs like Amazing Grace, At the Ceili, and You Raise Me Up. She is very talented, I know that. I just don't think that she fits in with the group. And I prefer Alex and Lynn, or Orla and Meav.

  • @exploringsurviving After hearing Lisa Lambe live with Celtic Woman last April, I think she fits beautifully into the group. Indeed, she actually has a little more presence than some of the earlier members, so while I miss the earlier women, Lisa more than holds her own and keeps Celtic Woman being one of the finest female vocal groups in the world.

  • Mairead Nesbitt ela flutua desafia a lei da gravidade

  • Hayley's voice is amazing O___O

  • @frigginism All of theirs are! They are so beautiful!

  • Orla be mine!

  • and then the rest of the singers in the background, they are the other forest animals like the playfull rabbits, the inventive and curious squirls and the majestic deer that walk the forest. less apparant as the singing birds, but so important for the forest.

that is what i 'see' while watching and listening to this video. WON-DER-FULL !!!

  • in my fantasy i really see a forest awakening in the morning.

Chloe, haylay, lisa, orla and meav are the black birds singing the first in the morning. the first sleepy songs that invoke a reaktion of the other birds. and more and more birds adding their song to the forest 'concert'.then, when mairead comes dancing and fidling in the middle of the song...that is as a sparkling colourfull butterfly, through trees and over flowers.

  • OBRIGADA POR PARTILHAR ESSA MARAVILHA amigo ALEX!

    Abraços.

  • There is something very special in the music of Celtic roots

  • I hope that after their incredibly full concert schedule in 2011, the ladies will take a break and then find yet another beautiful outdoor location for their next DVD recording. I NEED MORE CW DVDs!

  • @William2020a...Well we didn't do it outdoors this time....we wanted to do a new TV special/DVD in the US to allow our U.S. fans a chance to be part of the experience...So we chose the Fabulous Fox Theater in Atlanta, it was performed over 2 nights adn the DVD will be reaching the market hopefully by Christmas...

  • @gaeilge1O1....Looks like the DVD and CD of the newest PBS special we did in Atlanta isn't going to make it by Christmas...the release date as of now is 26 Jan. 2012

  • @gaeilge1O1 Now THAT is not good news. I need more new music!!!

  • @Gizmologist09..."Believe" me the new DVD/CD will be worth the wait....

  • what program do you use??????

  • I love Orla and miss her.

  • que preciosidad de señoritas y dulce melodia que llevan por voz

  • @DC11961 it actually is quite easy to discern between a viola and a violin because the viola plays in a different register :) I love Celtic Woman!

  • I absolutely love this grouppp. <3 I sang the voice by celtic woman last year with my womens choir, and it was awesome!

  • @MakinSushi they're not elves they're angels

  • I love Máiréad and all she does. She is so talented.

  • their voices are so angelic, i love them all!

  • Beautiful, Magical, Epic.

  • LOL @ Artist: Sun

  • some of them seem ageless almost like the magical woman in the story of king author.

  • Comment removed

  • these girls are amazing

  • This is a wonderful introduction...mystical and rich. Sometimes I think the less you know about each of the Celtic Woman members, the more interesting and mysterious seems. That's just for me...

  • oh my gosh we NEED a LOVE button!!!

  • Whoa, It felt as if Chloe was singing right to me at 4:40! Gosh she's beautiful. All of them are stunning but I relate to her more because she's youngest and in my generation.

I've spent the last 2 hrs watching and listening to them instead of studying...but so worth it ;-P

  • Mairead makes music through her whole body...the violin is just the mouth where it all comes out!

  • oh mairead i still think your a fairy getting ready to burst out and be free

  • I love how they all lean back at 4:44

Just shows how much they get into their music! So beautiful!

  • chloe is so beautiful

  • LOVE this song (:

  • what beautiful music and voices and very beautiful women

  • if wrote a book and it was turned into a movie i would use this song in the movie... i luv this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @jennidot i adore the pixi mairead

  • @LucasMidkiff me too she is shuch a Lovely Lady! ♥

  • @LucasMidkiff I am glad you appreciate world renowned music and true beauty

  • Who are they talking about in this song?

    God?

    Jesus?

    The Sun?

    Themselves?

  • @miguelitroz Maybe all of the above?

  • @miguelitroz The song probably (I'm not being totally technical here, so don't shoot me!) belongs in the New Age genre, and therefore can mean whatever you want it to. I'm a little hesitant to claim it as a Christian song. It's beautiful, but the meaning is flexible.

  • The song seriously made me drop a tear.

So beautiful, The violin solo is AMAZING!!!

    I'm in LOVE! :D

  • I miss you orla! and meav! and Hayley!

  • This song is so beautiful and so are their dresses.

Their voices and Mairead playing the violin, pure talent.

  • ELVES. ALL OF THEM.

  • @MakinSushi NOT ELVES, ANGELIC FAIRY'S!

  • @lanabf123 How lucky you are! I wish I were in any of Celtic Woman's liveshow.

  • omg this is my fav song by them there voices r so beautiful. Mairead is amazing when she plays in this song. I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gah, every time I watch Mairead play that solo I get the urge to get up and dance around like she is... She's so full of life!

    Lovely song. Absolutely amazing performance.

  • I've always thought Mairead is a pixie or a fairy ! !

  • @livinsun88 she is prettiest of all the girls

  • Every time I look at Chloe's eyes my knees get weak. She is such a genuine and sweet soul and it shows in her eyes and body language. I can't get enough of the whole group but Chloe, just .....wow!

  • I miss Hayley :(

  • I listen to this every morning at sunrise, it's fabulous!

  • that has to be enormously difficult for her to play her violin and dance simultaneously, bravo!

  • Mairead must be a fairy in disguise with the way she flies over the stage :<)

  • I love it to see how Hayley walks to the front of the stage, she has such a gaze which I can't describe :-)

  • this song makes me think postitive

  • I love this song!!!

  • amo la voz de clhoe

  • I DO respect the 33 persons that don't like it. It's their right. But seriously, I just can't understand how they possibly can't be amazed.

  • At 4:54,if you listen to Hayley, she gives an interesting accent to the word 'and'. Sort of a trill, I think it comes with her smiling thw whole way through

  • @Caanay8 It was something of the first I noticed when I saw it the first time... :D

  • They are so wonderful all the time. I have chills as I do every time I hear them sing. Not to mention the stage, the production, Mairead dancing with her violin, the choir, the orchestra. I love that they are now showing more of the other people that also make all this magic happen. Celtic Woman must never go away. I

  • i like this musik it´s best to play violin and dance like this it´s great

  • hahahahaha wie kann man sich sowas nur knapp 2 stunden antun O mein GOtt stupid fuck ;)

  • @klaus9991 wieso hörst du es dann? gott können Menschen doof sein -.-

  • Godessess who sing beautiful songs beautifully, the Choir is beautiful and the band.

  • 3:51 audience provided by Sancta Maria Nursing Home

  • @kewldevice Olololol

  • They're always smiling when they perform, they enjoy it as much as we do.

  • ....Fiddle is loosely used to refer to a group of string instruments but it is most commonly used to refer to violins. The thing is, the word "fiddle" is usually used to refer to violins when it's used to play folk music as opposed to classical music. And as far as I know, there's very little difference between a a violin used for classical music and for fold music. There might be a small difference in the bridge, the position of the soundpost and type of string used.

  • y is there a dislike botton? this is amazing!

  • wow when i did lipsink at my school i was the crazy violinist :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!! love the song love celtic woman

  • ARE THIS GIRLS SINGLES ??? I NEED A GIRL LIKE THAT PLZ ANY CELTIC GIRL CALL ME PLZ I AM 21 , HOT AND SINGLE LOL :)

  • to those who think Maraid is not playing, look at the back of her dress. You will see 2 devices. One is a receiver they all wear for in ear monitors. The other is a wireless mic transmitter for the pick up on her violin. The wire can sometimes be seen under her arm. All the vocal performers are wired this way.

  • @DC11961 You can't - they are not 2 different instruments. Some use "fiddle" for a large class of stringed instruments that include the violin.

  • wow.. just.. wow...I have to agree with angelaknits82, she must be a pixie in disquise. dancind and playing and never misses a note.. and does it in high heels no less.. outstanding.

  • So sad that now we can't see Orla, Haley and Meav in celtic woman anymore. Anyway, still love them :)

  • am I wrong? she plays the violing while dancing and wear high heels????!!! AWESOME!

  • Well, just watched the girls last night in Austin. One word - AWESOME!

  • 30 people are still waiting for the dawn.

  • @RainBirdLori sad that they may never find it. shame is it not

  • @RainBirdLori And the sky and the sun!

  • Beautiful women in beautiful dresses.

This is a choir for God.

  • I love how half of this was her playing the violin :)

  • i love this song, its one of my personal favorites. i'm a celtic woman fan. i have four of their cds: A New Journey, Songs From The Heart, Lullaby and a Christmas Celebration. i also have the Songs From the Heart dvd. i think they are just amazing and incredible. LONG LIVE CELTIC WOMAN! LONG LIVE THE QUEENS OF MUSIC AND HARMONY!

  • Lindo demais....

    Parabéns!

    Beijos da Sissa ♥

  • over years there are indeed many people accusing Mairead pre-record her msuic

But just think about this, in the documentary "Music of Ireland", Mairead is listed as one of the 50 most important modern Irish musicians/groups along with U-2, The Dubliners, Orla Fallon, The Riverdance, Anúna and David Downs.

This should show you how good she actually is.

  • @TimLugia If there are "many", 99% would be youtube trolls accusing her of not playing. People who have read about her, know her as a third generation Celtic musician with a degree in classical violin. She has studied under some of the best teachers in the British Isles, and it shows.

  • @TripBoomLikeThat yep, also this year there was one show Mairead felt ill and was withdrawn from the second half. that should be a solid proof for her playing.

  • @TimLugia Very good point.

  • Aye, the style of fiddling Máiréad has studied her whole life is based on mastery and movement. Of all women in the entourage she may well be the most preternatural in her exhibition of skill. Every moment she spends on stage veritably screams that there is a God.

  • I saw this show live in Baltimore, and saw Máiréad prancing around like a faery and it's AMAZING. Worth every penny!! (You will have goosebumps the entire time!!)

  • I love this Celtic formation most :)

  • @earwigqueen

I am sure she was actually playing and dancing live, but probably when they edited this video some of the footage was out of sync with the sound.

  • Anyone who says Mairead isn't really playing has no idea who she is, or what she has been doing since she was six years old.

Millions of people have watched her dance and play in live shows all over the world.
