@ForzaAquila Hi there friend. It´s not just about his voice/music. His whole history is an amazing tale of weird stuff and bad decisions. And he never gave up. I don´t know, you might still not like the music or Daniel for that matter but check out "The Devil and Daniel Johnston" (a documentary) and you can see who he is and part of what he´s been through and how he got what he wanted. I like his voice, his music and the human Daniel. He´s not an average pre-fab "star". Hope it helps. Cheers!

Alright, here's my opinion, and I know I'm gonna get it from hardcore Daniel Johnston fans out there, but I don't think that the guy is that talented. I mean from a music theory and musicianship standpoint, I just can't get into his music. I wish him all the good fortune in the world. But I just don't get what's so special about him.

I've seen "The Devil & Daniel Johnston", and personally I think that he should've signed with Elektra, and stop drinking so much fucking Mountain Dew. And yeah, I do sorta kinda like Zappa and Phish, but my favorite groups are Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, and of course The Beatles. I dunno, with Daniel's stuff, it sounds amateur-ish to me. Like right here, he's trying to sing "I'm So Tired", and he's not on key most of the time. I guess I'm just too analytical about music.
