  • hey grr lighten up... oh yeah and suck me

  • grr everytime i search for the good Doughboys, i get these muppets.

cant you call yourself something else

  • @petelondonlad

    Hey Petey boy,

I admire your loyalty to your "Doughboys" however, I take exception to the term "muppets". We don't go around name calling your guys just because they stole our name(by the way we have used this name since 1966 long before your D'Boys were even born), so please be a bit more courteous. By the way, since the last 2 albums we released have been doing so well we have actually brought our fans to your D'Boys page while they searched for us. Live & let live, Petey.

  • from york pa are you coming any place lose to here

  • @PhilsPhan44

Actually, I'll be visiting some relatives in York at the end of the month but other than that no shows lined up.

  • These guys will be opening for The Yardbirds at BB Kings in NYC on May 26th. Sellevrsville, Pa too. Hope to see you there!

  • @MoorelandSt

    We'll be looking for ya'.

  • I prefer John Kastner's Doughboys.

  • I have no idea who John Kastner is. I'm sure we were probably recording under this name long before he was even born. However, he's fortunate to have a loyal fan like yourself. That's what's kept all of us going all these years. Sorry if we've disappointed you.

  • @thedoughboysnj Love your dedication to your music. I feel a little embarrassed not having known your band. Good stuff. Different times.

  • @SoulVotik

Well thanks for the positive feedback. No need to feel embarrassed. I had no idea there were so many bands under the name The Doughboys till we released our Cd in 2007 and started seeing all these other bands with the name. Keep on my friend. All my best to you.

  • I uploaded some of John Kastner's music.

  • Cook School dances!

  • Ah yes I remember them well. We were considering doing the CD release party for our new CD (which is being manufactured as we blog) at Cook School. We just didn't know if we'd be able to get everyone out that we'd want to get there. Here's another one.

    The Park Hotel Annex.

  • WTF, this isn't The Doughboys....who the hell are you? ...not John Kastner that's for sure....

  • We are THE Doughboys and have been The Doughboys since 1966. In fact, at last count there are 5 other bands with some degree of regional or national notoriety who have adopted our name.

I have no idea who John Kastner is and I'm sure he has no idea who I am but that's WTF.

  • blu is talking about the Montreal kids...they're only like late 30's fer sure...(Canada...go figure)

  • not 30's,early 40's,they were a great The band, from Montreal, was formed by John Kastner in 1987, following his departure from The Asexuals.[1] The Doughboys released their debut album, Whatever, that year, although the original lineup of musicians shortly disbanded. In 1996 and 2000 Chart Magazine ranked Whatever as the 28th greatest Canadian album of all time..

  • -Happy accidents was my fave.

  • The Doughboys rock! My best to Nancy!

    NYCity Dakini

  • Damn son! That's great. It reminds me of The Shadows of Knight around '66 only much smoother. I'm having a hard time breathing! Thanks.

  • Wow! I saw these guys in Hamilton back in the day!

  • Dude, this might be the best song that people never heard. I heard it on a radio program about 3 months ago. 105.7 The X. I live in Lancaster, PA. Since then I cannot stop listening to it. The song freaking rocks! I downloaded it on Itunes and play it for people. Great tune.

  • LTM83, Thanks for the comments. Nice that you like the song. There's more like this on our first CD "Is It Now" and lots more coming out on our new CD in the next month or 2. Check out our download only single "I'm Not Your Man" on iTunes.

  • Hey guys ! Since you do some of the best covers, I was thinking how great you'd sound doing Syndicate of Sound's Hey Little Girl ( you don't have to hide nothin' no more).I just listened to it and thought of you .

  • The DBoys rocked it last Sunday at the Stone Pony after the Pretenders concert a few footsteps away. Nice way to end a great evening, Cat Power and Juliette Lewis led the way.

  • Nice Sound, Nce video, Great band !

  • Hey Zig,

Thanks for the kudos buddy. Glad you made it out to the show saturday.

  • I really like your music even though I'm just 19...So I can't remember the 60's. :)

  • Great rekapap28! You are one of the fortunate members of your generation to "get" our music.

We're very glad that you like it.

  • would anyone have the video of doughboys neighbourhood villian? i was in the video kinda sucks never got to see it

  • I LOVE this video!

  • you guys are great. What a flashback. I remember hearing the Doughboys when I was in Jr. High School back around 67 or 68.

You still sound as great as then. I was friend's with Frank Scavone. Someone tell him, Tom Cooper says hello and that I am hanging out in south Florida with Bruce Patterson. Now that''ll be a flashback.

  • Vote for The Doughboys on RXP 101.9. Look up the bands section, they are listed under Central Jersey

  • Why wait to see them in Bordentown when you can catch them tonight @ Crossroads in Garwood?

  • Because the Bordentown show is a better enviroment. The place is less cramped, feels more like a living room then anything. It sounds absolutely amazing, and you're literally two feet away from the performers when you're in the front row.

  • The Doughboys show in Bordentown was AMAZING !

An inspiration to all us 50-somethings that still know how to rock ! Not a abd song in thier live set, the pick of cover material was diverse and well executed. THIS BAND IS A MUST SEE LIVE ! The Bordentown show is still very vivd in my mind ! Absolutely great show / band / cd / video!

  • YES IT WAS! And you know what? I hear their coming back!! That's right, July 19th it is. I'm going. AND YOU ALL SHOULD TOO! :D

  • agreed, randy---a must see live! So cool to have them play right near by. Hope they come back a 4th time!

  • Great song & vid

  • Honestly, the show in Bordentown was much more exciting then the one in this video. And this video has a pretty damn good show.

    Just imagine that!

  • Sweeeeeeettttt!!!!!

  • These guys rule! The Doughboys are the most authentic garage-rockers you'll hear in this day and age. So why aren't they bigger than the Hives? They remind me of the Yardbirds, Pretty Things, Shadows of Knight, Seeds, the early Stones and others from the halcyon days of amped-up, blues-based, lean & mean rock and roll. This is THE sound, IMHO...pure unadulterated high-energy R&R bliss.

  • Awesome...Ironic that Richie Hass wasn't around to see this video. He freaking idolized Richard X Heyman back in the day...neat to see the old footage from that period. Heyman was the reason he became a musician. Well, him and The Beatles anyway. Rawk!

  • Hi!! Great Video, Great song. Greetings from Spain, in the ALLEY OF HUNGER, a radio program in Madrid you are the ONES!!!

    Hungry Regards
