Steve really was an inspiration. He taught us things about many rare species and he was so passionate about his work.  I was so shocked when I learned of his death on that awful day. Like millions of others, I felt like I'd lost a friend.

Steve-O, you were wonderful with the animals. Your love of those creatures has now passed on to Bindi Sue and I know she'll be as good as you were, mate. RIP.
