  • it is 2011...and this is the trippiest song i've ever heard

  • French group...but remains me Detroit sounds...Thanx

  • ah... how new the flange effects were then.

i'm simply can't wait to hear the reissue.

  • almost sounds like Blue Cheer!!!...it sucks a lot of these bands didnt stick around...great psych rock..

  • Cool! It sounds like they were definately influenced by Jimi Hendrix. It would have been more cool, if it had been sung in French.

  • is this band from germany or england..etc?

  • @cover821 France

  • I'm trying so hard

    Please come back,

I feel bad, I feel down,

    I feel so down

I feel bad, I feel down,

    I feel so down

  • mindblowing

  • This incredible group is going to be reissue by Shadoks music from Germany.. It would be a complete Lp with many unrelased songs, be prepare for one of the Better psych Lps for all time!!!

Many people would be blow away with this incredible reissue!!

  • Amazing track. To set the record straight, EMI in Europe started cataloging the releases with "long" international numbers from march '69 onwards, so this 45 is from after this date...

  • I think the first 11 seconds are amazing, can't say the same about the rest of the song

  • wicked!

  • Does anyone hear any paul di'anno from iron maiden in this guys voice?

  • Permettez-moi d'approcher votre feu...

  • great stuff !!!!

  • this is music fuck yeahh !!!!!

  • Wow! So much like Jimi. Where can one purchase the CD or MP3 of this band?

  • As far as I know, Les Goths only released two 45 singles during their brief existence (both in 1968 and both long out of print) and no full length albums. This song is available on CD on the psychedelic compilation "A Perfumed Garden, Vol. 2", however, I believe that has gone out of print as well.

  • Thanks very much for the reply and information. Just bought "A Perfumed Gardend, Vol. 2" on your recommendation. Thanks for taking the time to post this stratospherically spectacular Les Goths song!

  • Awesome, man. I'm glad you were able to track a copy down. I just found out that earlier this month they issued "The Perfumed Garden: 82 Rare Flowerings From The British Underground 1965-73" which collects all 3 "Perfumed Garden" volumes and expands it to 5 CDs. If you like Vol. 2, you may want to check that out as well.

  • This is very cool! Love the guitar!

  • This is cool, I like it!!!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • they copied hendrix's fire drum beat and verse guitar rhythm

  • true to that

  • was hendrix fire before this ??

  • yes

  • @torkerbmx just before... the two brothers who started the band saw him play in paris, and became fanatics. effects pedals weren't widely available in france, so their dad homemade some for them.

  • cool flanging effect

  • all eras of music suck if your spoonfed

  • I never liked the old music, like 70's & 80's but... now that i'm searching there is very interesting material, I like it most heavy or hard and there is a lot of everything!! i'm 22!!

fuck, what an age i've lost...

  • well the 80s sucked man, and the half of the 70s were good......the 60s is the way to go

  • But in the 80s you had a lot of awesome underground/Alternative bands, like Black Flag or Sonic Youth or Bauhaus. Its just what the mainstream shows. And the 70s as a whole was good when it came to the lesser popular music (Glam rock, Krautrock, Punk), but the Arena bands like Led Zeppelin sucked, thats a fact

  • your right, the 80s had stone roses and happy mondays.....but Zeppelin certainly did not suck, they blow minds live

  • im not saying the underground music is bad, but Led Zeppelin kick fucking ass and are the greatest band that ever lived.

  • I actually think janis blew zep away. It's all a matter of perspective and personal tastes.

  • wow, to be honest this is the first time i've really listened to 60s Psych and well taken it seriously I love this haha, its kinda protopunk ish as well

  • punk ha

  • Re: French psych, I've never been quite sure if The State of Mickey and Tommy was a French band, or just recorded in France. I think it's the latter, but in any case, check them out. Very trippy. Also check out Time Machine's double side Turn Back Time/Bird in the Hand.

  • This is amazing. Never heard of Les Goths before but I love the sound.

  • check out "The Darkside of the Moon and Taxi Driver" on youtube

  • C'est du plagiat de Jimi Hendrix.

  • let me stand next to your fire 8D

  • cool

  • were they from france or belgium?

  • Holy shit! This blew my mind!

  • c'est genial ce groupe mieu que jhonny allyday

  • I hear some James Brown up in this motherfucker

  • shame theres no more on here

  • yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

  • Haha, the first 2 chords, I thought it was "You've gonna miss me" from the 13th Floor Elevators.

  • That reminds me Nazz a lot ! In France this period of the sixities is misunderstood and forgotten today...It's very difficult to find this kind of recording. Thanks to posted this.

  • wow... and i thought "out of the sun" from the perfumed garden comp was grand.

i heard that the bassist quit as a result of wanting to get his doctorate in anthropology--and that there might have been/is a partly finished album.

  • ah, i've changed my mind again, and i prefer "out of the sun".

  • Thanks, do you know other good french psychedelic band ?

  • Check out Vietnam Veterans. I believe there are two sound checks of theirs here. 80's French neopsych but heavily influenced by 60's groups.

  • The drummer has followed a carrier as "drama artist", he makes sophisticated string puppets; at the beginning it was supposed to be an additional drive to do more music, but passion takes different shifts and turns. He did many songs for this carrier though! Type mainstring theatre or theatre de la grande rue.

As for the others I don't know :(

  • terrific song, one of the best from the perfumed garden comp. it would be cool to know more about them...any info out there??

  • Yes it's a brilliant song and like yourself i discovered it on The Perfumed Garden Album Series.Again, not much info available on them.

  • Cool song, it sounds like sort of a re-write of Jimi Hendrix's "Fire"

  • Good call!

Mitch-esque drums everywhere, plus that amazing flange effect!
