  • I'm a starbucks regular and this never eases to make me laugh.

  • Zomg! Found a great Free Starbucks Offer ww.bit.ly\freecafe

  • This is as rich as satire gets, and they should have both won awards. First time I saw it I was awestruck and forgot to laugh. Second time, I was rolling on the floor.

  • @uKooKu Christopher Guest/Mckean/etc movies are formulaic but EXCELLENT

  • Look what you can meet at Starbucks

    youtube.com/watch?v=rJF2LpkRUuc

  • a match made in heaven, these two

  • they both have braces :P

  • ???????????

  • These are not typical Mac users. I've been a Mac user all my life. These people are despicable. (the characters, not the actors)

  • @CeruleanFilms When I see this clip I've wondered on ocassion if Guest is a PC person. ;o)

  • ...all that vapidity, all that consumerism, they're both boils on the asscrack of humanity...and they're also both lawyers lol

  • 45 people still think this dislike count joke is funny.

  • satire at its best.

so good in fact that some seems not to get it - see some of the comments here :-)

  • 16 people don't understand lactose intolerance.

  • "We are so lucky to have been raised amongst catalogs" is GENIUS.

  • the braces are fn hilarious

  • 1:18-1:20 hahaha so weird. I love her

  • her face when she says "you're lactose intolerant now" is genius

  • @basehead617 agreed, subtle.

  • It's so funny to think that Starbucks and Mac are now considered hip and trendy...

  • To this day everytime i get an L.L Bean catalog in the mail I always think of this movie

  • I like the scene where he's talking about wearing merlot but of course there's gonna be alot of khaki down there

  • This is maybe the best thing I've ever seen.

  • Grande Espresso? How much caffeine is in that?

  • @disgustika haha I was thinking about that. 12oz of espresso, so that's what? about 36 cups of coffees worth

  • "you're lactose intolorance now"

  • Comment removed

  • But then, are you maybe one of those "Schmucks" that loves Starbucks?..... :-)

You tube- see Jackie Mason "Schmucks" and Starbucks).

Fake Italian names, to associate basically "a coffee" with some kind of foreign excoticism? How many schmucks out there, think "Häagen-Dazs"

    comes from the language "Scandinvian".

But it's OK. George Bush thought that S. of Texas- "they speak Mexican"

(& in Greece, "they must speak Grecian?

right :-) Ah Madison Ave-- wanting what we DONT NEED!

  • starbucks on the weekends; with an L.L.Bean catalogue :)

  • When this movie came out, two Starbucks opposite each other was a funny line. It's a reality in my town. (Brighton, UK: Western Road/Churchill Square)

  • @futarinoseaside Thats funny I live in Brighton Massachusetts USA

  • "I was working on my MAC"

  • @OfficialDemocrat Counterpoint - hipster irony does not excuse product placement.

  • I love Parker Pussy

  • wtf?? I have to see this movie this is too funny!! But what did she see in him??

  • @json8tr wtf did he see in her? they are like yuppie mirror images-that's the whole pont.

  • Fucking idiots.

  • @kd8fki actors playing fucking idiots, a very fine distinction, granted.

  • LOL @ reading J. Crew

  • LMAO @ lactose intolerance.

  • LOL @ 2 starbucks' across the street from each other. This inspired me to drink coffee and to browse through magazines.

  • ....or not.

  • something sexy about grown women with braces

  • Comment removed

  • 1:17.

  • 14 people weren't so lucky to have been raised amongst catalogs.

  • @RedPaladin HAHAHA! What an original comment!! Oh wait...

  • @Illadelphism I bet ya feel better now getting that off your chest.

  • "You can just talk to the people on the phone." re: "Or not." hahahah

  • Thumbs up if you'd like to get naked with Parker Posey. Up, up, up.......

  • @spd13062

    Would I ever!

  • Parker Posey doing her narrow, 'gifted' thing; the yuppie braces are the icing. I am proud to not know what the 'Jay Crew (sp?)' thing is. But loving the slight, over the top satire. And this,.... many hetero men like high cheek bones. Posey has no cheek bones - but , very strong, attractive. Just me?

  • @MrDarwinsDog J crew was a preppy clothing store in malls in the 80's.

  • @Monsterdrumma 90s.

  • I never understood the humor of these movies as a kid, but now that I am older, these movies are fucking genius.

  • OMG, Michael Hitchcock and David Tennant need to play brothers or something in a film. Long lost separated brothers.

  • This is one of the greatest stereotype mocking scenes in film history. It is a riot!

  • This is hilarious!

  • 14 people are lactose intolerant now

  • 14 people prefer Saxby's Coffee.

  • i love this movie :D i own it

  • "Working on my mac"

    "And I had MY mac"

  • This is one of my favorite films. Comic genius, and yes this is starbucks coffee/latte yuppies to a t!

  • Tall soy chai. Get it right.

  • “I remember what I was drinking when I met you. It was a grande expresso.”

“That’s right. And I thought that was really sexy.”

    “Yeah.”

    I LOL'ed.

  • Love her

  • DOUCHEBAG YUPPIES. One of my favorite scenes in a movie!

  • "yuppies" lol

  • I love Parker Posey she's hilarious.

  • @cmdunaway6 haha so good. i bet that whole lactose thing was adlibbed

  • These films are absolute hoots, and supposedly mostly improvised. It's great to see a great bunch of artists working together without a bunch of computer generated effects. Hope they make some more.

  • this movie so doesn't suck. It's really funny. These characters are super high strung and annoying. Much like many people who live in my city :D

  • theres gonna be alot of khaki down there!

  • hahahaa@her expression at 1:20..all dazed and glazed and far off..her eyes all glassy and spaced out...TOOOO funny

  • 14 people weren't raised amongst catalogues

  • that smile full of braces is killing me.

  • "I remember what I was drinking when I met you- it was a grande espresso!"

"I thought that was really sexy"

    HAHAHAHAHA

  • Hey, wha' happened?

  • It's cute how many commenters are attempting to trash talk while merely demonstrating that the humor went over their heads. :)

  • Brilliant. Except for the Mac line... particularly at that time, law students didn't write on Macs.

  • @1964royhinkley I'm pretty sure they meant "mack" like..."I'm going to mack on that person because I think they are hot..."

  • nope...they mean Mac.

  • @1964royhinkley get aids

  • is it weird that i find her braces sexy??

infact i tend to get turned on by chicks wit braces in general........................i feel funny saying that because of what it might imply....

  • How could anyone think this movie sucks?

  • Oh my god this is great! lol

  • No offense, but both are good at kissing some serious Starbucks ass.. Made for each other!

  • @saandeepmani Sucks when you go to Starbucks & there's a long line of 13 year old girls. Shouldn't they be drinking Capri Sun?

  • Chai Lattes are amazing! :D

  • Parker Posey...I loved her in Blade Trinity. This movies sucks. I don't ever want a starbucks coffee ever again. Ever.

  • I don't really give a shit!

  • we are so lucky, we are SO lucky to have been raised amongst catalogs

  • wow, they sat their on there macs... what a bunch of faggots lol.

  • Chai Latte Soymilk...hahaha my fav!

  • Tall Vanilla Cappuccino is the best :)

  • the look on her face after saying he's lactose intolerant hahaaha

  • "She's reading J. Crew... and I was such a J. Crew person then too."

    lol

  • What's up with the braces? Ha.

  • great film

  • @LexiOchoa best in show

  • "We saw each other at different Starbucks' - across the street from each other." Fantastic improv from Posey. How is it most scripted comedies aren't HALF as funny as the Guest's films? It's just amusing that someone who takes time to sit down writing a script, thinking up jokes and whatnot, can't do the situation justice in comparison to what these people do at the spur of the moment. Will always amuse and amaze me.

  • @LexiOchoa best in show

  • wtf lol ariana grande sent me O_O

  • ariaaaana :)

  • "It's so much easier because you can just not talk to people, or just on the phone." "or not."

  • Thumbs Up If Ariana Grande Brought You Here < 3 : )

  • Grande espresso like Ariana Grande

  • thumbs upp if Ari sent u here

  • Thumbs up if Ariana brought u here?

  • thumbs up if ariana grande brought you here!!

  • thmbs up if ariana sent u here :)

  • Ariana Grande sent me here!

  • thumbs up if @arianagrande sent you here

  • I hate this movie.

Just kidding. It's impossible to hate this movie!

  • Dear God this is the best movie ever. Especially these two.

  • @feitocomfruta I cheered for the foot guy ... I cried of laughter at this movie. Did you know this is all unscripted!

  • @slickrickdarula Thebest improvisation is the one that is rehearsed to perfection.

  • @rdecredico No I wasnt kidding. This movie has a plot line, but there was no set script.

  • @slickrickdarula Watch the outakes...you will see them tightening their spiels.

  • @rdecredico John Cassavetes used to say about his movies that the dialogue was scripted but the emotions were improvised. That's great when it works and unwatchable when it doesn't. Guest seems to have reserved that formula pretty successfully, though admittedly the emotions are a lot simpler in a comedy than in something like _Minnie and Moskowitz_.

  • @jackal59 - you think comedy is simpler? Try it sometime. These performances walk a much finer line than most dramatic performances. Anybody can mug for a laugh, but to live in a character that is at once despicable and sympathetic takes some real skill... the Chris Guest movies walk a razor's edge.

  • @GravityJim I don't think comedy is simpler; I think the *emotions* are simpler in a comedy like this. All of the characters in Guest's films are broad in some way. That's part of why we can understand them so quickly and readily. There are comedies in which the emotional connections are more complex, like Mike Leigh's Happy-Go-Lucky, but they can tip over too easily into maudlin or awkwardly "meaningful" scenes that fall flat. Guest's films are usually more consistent funny.

  • hahaha there making fun of yuppies

  • hahaha, i got on here and typed in "best in show" lookin for this exact clip, and what do you know, it was the first result.

  • Who ARE these two pretentious idiots talking about their Macs, going to law school, and reading LLBean and JCrew catalogues?? Aachh! Makes me want to stick my fingers down my throat!

  • @henryh101 It's supposed to make you laugh at them, not want to kill yourself. xD

  • @henryh101 It's from a movie. They're mocking super-white people who love coffee, Apple products, catalogues, "romance", etc.

  • @henryh101 Theyre called actors. The woman is Parker Posey. This is from Best In Show.

  • @henryh101 As I said before, that is why satire is lost on some people.

and then some weekends I would go to the other Starbucks and she would be in the other one..

  • HAHAHAH I would be cracking up so much if I had to do this scene XD

  • why the hell do they have braces?? hahahah

  • this is almost every young couple living near eden prairie minnesota...there is a really nice starbucks there though
