@MusicSnobAsshole I learned of this song from the radio actually, although I have known Everlast for years. Country, Pop, Rap, and R&B are what I hear mostly on the radio. Around SoCal, there are a few really good independant radio stations that play great music; however, the last time i traveled out of state, I found myself having to scan through stations like Wal-Mart register workers scan items to get a good station out. For music on the physical radio, SoCal's definitely the place to be.
I mix Hip-Hop on SSL in Australia and this song is one of the main references I use when mixing; the groove, the gutts, the space, the width, the integrity of each instrument as well as the glue that brings it all together... What I'm most proud of is the fact that after disappearing after Eminem dissed the fuck out of him, he's coming back and "Everlast" is starting to become a little more recognized once again. This is an awesome song. One of my faves to get high to :)

@MusicSnobAsshole I learned of this song from the radio actually, although I have known Everlast for years. Country, Pop, Rap, and R&B are what I hear mostly on the radio. Around SoCal, there are a few really good independant radio stations that play great music; however, the last time i traveled out of state, I found myself having to scan through stations like Wal-Mart register workers scan items to get a good station out. For music on the physical radio, SoCal's definitely the place to be.

Actually I heard this on 99.9 the Buzz... What It's Like routinely plays on the radio (At least here in Montreal).
What I'm most proud of is the fact that after disappearing after Eminem dissed the fuck out of him, he's coming back and "Everlast" is starting to become a little more recognized once again. This is an awesome song. One of my faves to get high to :)

I'm glad here in the North West in the states, that some people actually appreciate music like this, and I can honestly say that I thought Everlast fell through the cracks until I heard this song pop up on the radio. Long live true music.

@promoe85 That doesn't even make sense. Indie labels put releases online just like big labels. It's better for them, even, because it's less of an overhead cost and more money in their pocket, thus a better way to support them.

im living in a house with no hot water. mold in my basement from a sewage flood, we owe everyone under the sun. my fridge is sparse at best, parents are sweating bullets over bills and i spend nights wondering if my little sister will come home from her "friend's" house or get shot in the wrong part of town. my mom skipped paying bills to get me something for my birthday. i heard this song on the radio and cried because i found someone who isn't afraid to tell the world how fucked up it is.
