I love the music in this game. It's a shame the gameplay wasn't as superb. I wish nintendo would fix the problems and rerelease it. would be a nice trinket on their virtual console.
I thought it wasn't? Even Kojima said that he dislikes this game and never had anything to do with it as a director or producer... well for me that's reason enough to prefer the MSX version and forget about the NES version ;)
well the worst part is... you never get to see Metal Gear itself in the NES version, while on MSX it's the last-boss... and all this Sneaking/Stealth stuff was removed from the NES version, you just HAD TO bump into enemies and kill them or run away, while on MSX there were lots of possibilities to avoid any kind of confrontation. I guess those are the two biggest parts.
@HaitaniMasayuki no that's what he said about Snake's Revenge back then, but then he somehow was inspired to create Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake because of Snake's Revenge.

Play the MSX version, the real version that ported for the NES. Hella better.
