I am so excited about watching this tomorrow! His was indeed a life well lived; I wish I knew more about him than what is posted on wikipedia. The world needs more hellraisers like him, to push the envelope of social conventions.

Saw this movie yesterday. They tried to cram in so much detail, it looks like the story jumps from I scene to another, Burkin to Bardot without letting you feel any connections with the correctors. Somehow it looks like a collage!.

Good things: the surreal scenes, cinematography and the animated opening scene.

Will give it 2.5 stars out of 5only because I love Gainsbourg's music.

I saw this film yesterday... part of the French Film Fest in New Orleans. C'est magnifique! Now, I want to put some Gainsbourg on my turntable, smoke French cigarettes and dream the night away.
