  • after this video! Have you heard this "vermont lottery system" guy (do a search on google)? Ive found real shocking oppinions about him and with my cooworker we thinking about tons of mamona to get with this system. would You use ^ Vermont lottery master great system.

  • thanks for info! Have you ever tried this "vermont lottery system" big winner (just google it)? Ive found real nice messages about him and with my cooworker we thinking about many of funts to get with this system. how nice sould be using ^ Vermont lottery master winning blueprint.

  • To quote David Mitchell: "the only thing about that 'trick' which can be called magical is that he got people to refer to it as 'predicting the lottery numbers' rather then just 'saying the lottery numbers a bit after they appear'".

  • Why cant you nerds accept the fact he did predict the lottery numbers and he was right.. so stop being jelous wow..

  • EVER HEARD OF DELA BROADCAST ?

    TAPE DELAY AND TRANSMIT DELAYED

    VIDEO AFTER GETTING THE NUMBERS?

  • Yeah but it was classy and had half the UK fooled, he never claims that he does anything more than trickery, he never claims to be psychic.

  • it was a camera trick, half of the studio where the balls are situated were filmed previously to make it look like he had the chosen numbers next to him and while the numbers were coming up people put the correct balls in place then unfroze the screen...thats what i have been told...i think he far to clever to come up with an idea like that...but i suspose we will never know!!!

  • not pre recorded as such, just frozen still on a stationary camera. the wobble and zoom is to make it look like a hand held camera, which (if it had been used) would have made lineing up the live and frozen sections much more difficult to maintain without clever moving image syncing.

  • Didn`t he say that they predicted the numbers in order ? but he has the balls in numerical rising order .

maybe its about time we met theses 24 people

  • yeah i know what your saying

  • if he could predict the results then why isn't he a multi multi millionaire!!!

  • i would say he already is a multi millionaire you see

  • i dont think its a fake because if it was then channel4 and bbc and derren brown would be putting all there money on the line, plus they were both on tv live... thats just what i think

  • it's not "fake," it's a trick?

  • Exactly he's an illusionist,he's not gonna show u how he did it!!!

  • The time it takes for the station to get onto your TV is about 1-2 minutes.

Someone must have been at the station and told the guy. Simple.

  • where'd you conjure THAT number from? try around 10 seconds max.

  • i cant see the sun

  • People give me your numbers please i will share the winnings.

  • I have part 1, 2 & 3 of how he predicted the numbers (using maths and averages) uploading now, keep an eye out to my videos in the coming hours to see how he did it!!

  • heh, I've just been watching it on C4 at 9-10PM.

LOL the guy with the foot stamping on the knives was soo cool.

  • got to laugh at all you guys on here and indeed all of the other videos about him predicting the lottery and you guys saying its fake...well duh

  • So true, man. I'm with you on this. I mean, did everyone get in a huff because Paul Daniels didn't really saw Debbie McGee in half? The clue's in the word illusion.

  • if your so bothered about him being an idiot. why did u watch this video and waste your time. anyway he obviously got your views as you have just watched it!

  • OMG WITCHCRAFT

  • oi u guys it was set up look in the sun

  • you can't make a statement then use the sun as a reference to said statement. They are 99% Sensationalist lies and 1% truth.

  • Slightly less than 1% actually.

  • The Sun is full of shit.

  • if he can predict the lottery WHY ISN'T HE FUCKIN RICH???????????????/

  • The guy has his own TV show, I'm pretty sure he's doing allright. And he's banned from playing the lottery anyway.

  • Darren brown is fucking shite!!!

  • Darren brown is a fucking waste of space fucking annoying bastard.....fuck him off tv please!!!!!!!

  • i heard its fake because the balls height changes and the camera shakes and the image slighly changes so its half a screen and the other half was not being used so someone was changing the balls and no 1 could know

  • im watchin dis thin tnite i wanna win da god damn lottery!

  • It's all set up. The lottery uses heavier and lighter balls so they know what'll happen.

  • whos not to say their both in same building/studios. and derren is being told as they come out but with tv signal delay of second or two to audience. Easy really. Theres always something we dont see off camera.

  • th balls he chose wer alredy set out b4 th draw tho. n th camera didnt leve them so they couldnt have been changed

  • Oh yes, cause I'm sure BBC One would want Channel 4 to have all their viewers :/ Come on, think logic! He obviously didn't know what was gonna happen!

  • BIG BUMS

  • load of shite,if he can predict the lottery why his he not a multi millionaire and still working as a knob???

  • beaudaz, ...Well done genius. Jesus christ, I'ts called a magic trick... and he is a multi-millionaire anyway.

  • DARREN BROWN RULEZ!!!!

  • Fake.

  • load of shite

  • Comment removed

  • I should have been clearer when I say it's not live i don't mean it's recorded like 5 hours before hand. But there is about 10-15 mins delays. For call-ins people are asked to call in and do so straight away. But you gear it a few minutes later. That's how they bleep out stuff.

  • As far as I know for "Live" events like this there is no delay that is why they say please do not swear because they can't bleep it in the broadcast. The US have a 6 second delay rule allowing them to bleep swears as far as most of the UKs live events go we don't.

  • What a load of crap! if he really wanted us to think he could predict the numbers he could have stood anyware he wanted with a live camera and predict each number as they were been drawn. the BBC couldn't have stopped him.

  • You can't use statistics to predict the lottery FYI. The balls have no memory. You could get the same numbers 8000 weeks in a row and not be able to predict the 8001st week.

  • and another thing, the reason he can't predict the numbers before, is because it is in camelot (the lottey owners) contract to present the numbers live and before it is revealed anywhere else. go on to the website and look at the terms and condition for more info

  • Yeah but he wasn't revealing the lottery numbers. He only made a prediction. Just like everyone else who buys a ticket does. Surely he could have shown everyone his prediction in the same way that everyone else is allowed to show other people their lottery tickets?

  • the normal chances of winning the lottery with all 6 balls is 13,983,816 to 1, darren brown only had to guess 5 so on a calculator would look like 49C5 which is 1,906,884 to 1 chance. so really, with advanced statistics and going through the previous 100 odd weeks of the lottery, it is highly likley derren brown could work it out. but he probs had a team helping him to. and btw there was no split screen i've watched it many times over in hd and there is no twitch, no sudden movement, my theory!!

  • This guy is an illusionist, if he really could predict the outcome of the lottery why was this programme not broadcast well before deadline time for buying tickets so that everyone could have rushed out and bought a ticket based on his so called prediction? There is no way he could possibly do this and what we all saw was a very clever piece of illusionary that will make good tv but will make no one a millionaire winner.

  • cleverest comment ever

  • The only thing I find suspicious is the fact that he said he wasn't allowed to reveal his numbers due to BBC having the rights to show the numbers first.

He was 'predicting' the numbers just like everyone else who buys a ticket does, surely it's not against the law for me to show people my lottery ticket, even if I do claim that they will be the right numbers?

  • you can buy a ticket but are not allowed to publicly announce your numbers, especially on TV in hope of winning - that's why he wasn't allowed.

Regardless of how it was done, it was impressive none the less.

And for everyone else, much in the same way employees of Camelot etc are not allowed to play the lotto, due to his 'abilities' neither is he.

  • Yeah it was still very impressive. I hope he gives us a genine explanation tonight though.

  • Yeah!

  • sagat, lottery have banned him from doing the lottery, and whenever someone wins the lottery they have to make an inquirey to see if the winned has come in contact with a physic like derren brown...

  • If he was this smart why is he still stuck with a five figure channel 4 salary? surely he would be loaded by know

  • Thanks for commenting on our videos:)

  • cos national lottery banned him from entering

  • why dinit buy a ticket the fool

  • where his predictions were aren't on screen until after the draw, it may have been fixed(!)

  • Its not "magic". Derren Brown does not believe in "magic". He believes in Physcology and Theories and Methods. He spends about a year of his life in between each shows working on what hes going to do and how hes going to do it.

Bottom line: NOT MAGIC but 100% Real

  • we'll all find out 2mro on friday :D

  • if his explanation is plausable then he's telling the truth if not.. SCAM

  • What is he doing with his hand while the numbers are being announced?...

  • Comment removed

  • ;] lol

  • ps: the only reason it changes is that the viewer himself changes the channel, i saw it and the balls and him were in sight the whole time. no tampering

  • i too am slightly cynical of his methods and of his 'magic' (along with all magic). however tomorrow night (friday c4) he is going to reveal how he did it. could be worth a look?

  • oh cmon, tht is so fixed. if he had shown them balls and his numbers b4 all the numbers appeared it wud be great but not after.

  • cuz thats illegal my friend :P

  • hey, i didnt know about it being illegal but the fact is he cant.

  • Comment removed

  • He wasn't allowed due to a legal contract with the BBC

  • Actually tohaveaname i believe the odds of winning the lottery are about 1 in 14 million or 13.9 if you want to be pedantic

  • the draw was done live and he was watching the live draw so how cud he know wot the numbers wud be or anyone else if it is a live draw ther is no way of knowing hes a physic who predicted the numbers right why r ppl jealous of him hes got a gift so use it man

  • bullshit, wen it goes to the screen, the balls are drawn on:L

  • Wow thats some good number picking, seeing as your more likely to be struck by lightning 3 times than win the lottery XD

  • its bullshit all he had to do is write the numbers on a paper and show us before the draw, why do the BBC have a right to show 6 numbers before the draw?

  • Bet you didn't know that Derren Brown is a homo. Yep he's a class A faggot

  • It was a trick, why didnt he show the numbers before the draw, its bullshit it was obviously drawn on the ball jus as the results came in....You'l see Friday ,

  • amazing power of pause button on sky :L

  • What he did he studdied it

that how he does all of his work

    channel 4 tommorow at 9

he shows how he worked out how to do it

  • btw for all those people saying its like the horseracing one well the odds of winning hte lottery is 10,068,347,520 -1 put that with the price of filming and thers now way that thats how they did it

  • Tohaveaname, It's obviously not 10,068,347,520/1. There are only 61,000,000 people in Britain and the lottery is won quite often and you must be a genius to point out that he didn't film every possible combination of numbers. well duh

  • Its a magic trick.

I didn't watch it, but im guessing he didn't show what the numbers were before the draw.

  • he wasnt allowed to as bbc have a contract to say they are the ones that have to show the numbers first.

and also before he turns on the tv you see the balls aready there

  • Did he show what the numbers, on the balls, were before the draw?

  • nah cos he isnt allowed because bbc have to be the ones that show them first or something like that, he explained at the beginning, but you see the balls, and you also see that it is only him and two camera men in the room :)

  • Thats what they call a lie. He IS allowed to lie, its not illegal.

You cant buy a ticket a few hours before the draw and secondly its supposed to be a prediction. So, why would the BBC care if someone made a prediction on the numbers? Its doesn't make a shred of difference....However, if he didn't know the numbers beforehand that would make more sense, surely.

Its a simple magic trick. Im not sure what the trick was, but im certain it wouldn't matter what the final numbers were

  • thats bs!! why would bbc care anyway??? the balls are going to always be the same.

  • How it was done:

    poeljames(dot)googlepages(dot)com/HowDerrenDidIt(dot)html

  • 3 ways to do this. first, a simple split screen camera trick. the techs can use computers to freeze one half of the screen while his assitant puts the correct balls in place. second is a blue screen used in the movies. third is radio controlled balls with a computer display. assistant can change the numbers as they come out. its not new but derren probably spent a year researching the technology. amazing work.

  • the camera was always moving

  • this is beyond me. i cant wait until tomorrow.

  • CUNT FUCK

  • amagad1989

if the tv were different speeds and he did cheat, then he would have moved the balls about. he didnt touch then

    THINK amagad1989 THINK

  • Derren brown mad man or the biggest genius the world has ever seen I guess we'll just have to see on friday.

  • I wonder how he did this...I tell what tho it worked....Everyone is talking about it lol Just what he needs to get The Events off and running with lots of viewers...Derren Brown deserves to be allot more famous than he is...Very clever

  • the most logical solution is:

    he just got lucky.

  • actually thats the stupidest solution ive heard yet.

I dont believe for one second that he predicted it (obviously) but it is clever how they've pulled this off, I for one however WOULD like to know how its done.

  • Omg :-| HE IS A MAD MAN

  • have a tv in one room on the same channel as a tv in another room (with the sound up)

you will tell one tv is slightly ahead the other one

    THINK people THINK

  • thanks for commenting on our videos:)

  • for the people thinking this was like his horse racing trick, do remember the price of filming, plus the time the producers would be allowed, plus the chance of anyone winning the lottery by chance, let alone in the right order.

the man is a genius though, and i don't want to know how it was done in case it's fantastically banal

  • The horse racing ep was awesome !

i agree, knowing almost takes away from the act.

    loved it ! :-D

  • i heard he got 3m to stop predicting lol

  • think about it no delay and its live feed so he can do this one of 2 ways. both need technological gadgets. first, a simple split screen camera trick using blue screen or the technical guys just froze one half of the screen and his assitant puts the balls as they come out. second is radio controlled balls which can be changed with a remote by his assistant. he probably spent a year researching the technology. anyone could do it because he did nothing. derren is a legend.

  • i sky+'d it and if u watch it back, you can see it doesnt look like the first of your theories.

the camera is being held (not on a tripod) so as the cameraman moves, the picture moves, only slight movements, but you can see that the picture is moving. if only half the picture was moving it would be very noticable.

radio controlled balls is a stupid idea.

  • Its Fake it just is.

    No doubt about it.

Its just common sense that its impossible, so all you thinking its real it just isnt.

Its quite clever on how its done but its just not real.

  • I actually checked both channels at the same time....this is seriously freaky! Fantastic entertainmet. :D xx

  • this is real. i heard that the lottery paid him £3m to never put the lottery on again because he kept on winning... well thats what i heard

this is awsome haha dont belive he did it though.

  • i doubt they paid him. they did ban him from purchasing a ticket for wednesday nights draw though.

  • Hmm, I think Channel 4 banned him from purchasing a ticket, not Camelot.

  • I think he did predict the numbers. There is no magic trick here other than 1year of trial and error on Derrens part. He has an amazing mind, far beyond anything we can all imagine. He has some mad method that would send a normal man crazy, but Derren will have worked his arse off to get this result, nice one.

  • im not sure

  • It was easily done with a split screen, hense the distance between the Tv and the ball's.

  • If he really could predict the lottery results do you not think that he would be working for the government, making them even more millions?

It's a clever trick, easily done, but like David Copperfield, he is just a VERY good front man for some basic tricks!

The secret of magic is to take away the impossible.

  • When he turned the balls round i was like woah

  • can someone confirm that its not possible to get this by probabilty, or actually prediting, apart from a 1 in 14000000 chance? thanks

  • bullshit

  • Lottos aren't live. Just like sport event draws. They are supposedly live really they aren't. The radio is the same.

  • so untrue, how do call-ins work on radio then?

  • Anybody else notice when this was on how he kept saying the numbers that appeared?

Such as "give me a -second-" over and over

and too which would mean two?

maybe some kind of hint towards suggesting them to us? i dunno

  • its a split screen trick. paul daniels used this one many years ago with a blue screen. he got newer software. or else he used special controlled balls which he changes with a remote in his hand. all the same its was nice sleight of hand to dial numbers with his hand over his mouth and head turned away. legend.

  • btw there wasnt a time where the camera was out of shot, people may be confused with the guy changing the channel

  • This guys a genius, he has even memorised the A-Z for london

i watched him on tv and you will be speechless

  • u sad ass losers

  • well the lottery can be predicted but its extremely hard it's advanced number and path randomisation and he would have to had a lot have help preparing for this, its similar to card counting in casinos without marking the card you have to be a very smart and quick thinking person to do it

  • You cannot predict 5 numbers in order, simple. It is a trick thats all. It involves timing of the draw and camera work.

  • but the timing of the draw always been the same and he said he will show it on friday how he did it

  • You clearly have not done any post-high school maths. The numbers, unlike cards are drawn randomly from the same sample pool. The outcome of a previous result does not effect the outcome of the next result any more than flipping a coin.

    Read his book.

  • it can be done but he is not smart enough to do it my way and it is the same as card as every time cards are dealt they are a new set randomly shuffled by computer program just like the different drawing machines the lottery use, but you are right the previous result does not effect the next outcome but i didn't say that it did, even in so called random events patterns can be seen as there are no true random events created by man just scams and how to get rich and fool people

  • If he could really predict the lottery numbers, why doesnt he play it 3 times a week.

  • he calculated it from the past lotto numbers and the timing of the balls releasing have always been the same

  • He's telling us how he did it on friday. And if how he did it was do a split screen or freeze the screen then switch the balls or whatever. That would be the most boring programe ever.

  • I think they just had a laser reactive ink coated on the back of the balls, and then laser printed the balls from a distance above the backdrop with the numbers when they come out...

Easily doable, and whoever says far fetched think about what you just witnessed...

if he showed them to someone first however then it'd be different

  • It's really not his style, watch the horse racing/chess playing episodes. It will be illusion work but nothing so boring and simplistic as that. He also told us he only had 2 cameramen with him in the studio and it's unlikely that he'd barefaced lie to his audience if he wants to retain credibility.

  • but he said it beofre on his programs the things he does aint majik, its just to do with the mind and knowing the order

  • the people who are saying "this isnt a trick bla bla" of course it is, he said hes going to reveal how to do it, if it wasnt a trick, do u think hes going to really teach ppl to predict the numbers? that wud mean everyone wud be winning the lottery you thick fucks, of course its a trick lol, u cnt really predict the lottery numbers LOL

  • well, while you are clearly the most intelligent indi8vidual on the internet, what is a trick? I don't think anyone remotely familiar with his work thinks that he simply guessed the number, but whether it is a "magic trick" in the sleight of hand sense or a more subtle absolute outcome number "trick" is what is open to debate.

  • Ridiculous.

This is the crappest thing he's done.

They were placed there out of shot.

    Duh!

  • why dont u all shut the fuck up u miserable cunts an watch friday an see how he done it, why r people like goonbot gettin the hump over it, if u dont like it dont watch it and then look for it on youtube an slag it off coz u think ur all high and mighty your some sort of mug mate an if u reply il find out who u r an kick fuck out of u

  • he has not actually predicted anything, he has shown you the numbers after the draw that isn't a prediction...the question is how do you mark something thats seemingly unmarkable...well that only leaves tricks of all types....if he had shown them before then we could begin to think about mathematical systems...pyshic abilities...as it stands its a standard trick...but due to the subject matter it gives it weight and excitment..either way he's doing well for himself..and it is entertaining

  • Theory one.He switched the balls when you turned over to BBC1.Theory two. Why does he have his hand to his mouth. Is he talking to someone. Does this mean he is a millionaire now? Its all about misdirection.

  • Theory one is impossible.

Millions of other people were watching and not changing to BBC1. They would have seen it already.

  • i noticed that aswell. he always puts his hands to his head or mouth. its very suspicious.

  • aww. a years worth of work, summed up to about 3 minutes.

    :(

    Derren Brown is amazing!

  • You believe he spent a year on it?! Thats part of the act that suckers you in, just like the guff about the BBC not allowing the 'results' to be broadcast ahead of time. That was simply a mechanism which excused him from showing the numbers ahead of them being drawn.

PREDICTIONS of the results are printed in magasines etc all over the place.

It was VERY impressive! Ahead of the show I could only come up with a method of seemingly guessing 5 out of 6 'during the draw'.

  • Its amazing. You don't even have to be in the same room as someone to find them changing the channel bloody annoying.

Thanks for letting me find this out!

  • Its a camera trick. Initial footage when he comes in is pre-recorded. It goes LIVE when it switches from the wide angle back to the supposedly handheld camera (really a 3rd static camera with digitally created 'shake'). Left edge of the image is composited. Balls are placed behind this as they're read out.

Then goes to full live image at the point between him saying "23...26" (you can see the left ball change position slightly because they didn't push it in fully behind the fake image).

  • fuck you, he douse not use camera tricks never what would be the point!!! live on all channel 4 channels, and on big tvs all over the uk, just for a camera track!! it is going to be easy explained if it is a camera track and many people will be disappointed so i cant see it being that !!

  • Fair enough - but his REVEAL may not be strictly the truth about what he did. Often the reveal with Derren contains a misdirection in itself. He gives away a lot, but keeps back enough to make you think, "wow"!

He HAS done camera tricks before. Did you watch "The System" where he simply filmed lots of people and they picked the successful footage afterwards...in itself an enhanced version of what David Blaine used to do in his early TV tricks.

  • alright chill out mattermanagement! its only a tv show get over urself

  • yeah, it would be played, its something amazing that everyone wants to know how to do, of course everyone would tune in. Trick or not.

  • At the start he says that there are two camera men but only appears to use one. The show is actually being filmed with two cameras when he is watching the screen. Because nothing on the left half (halfish) of the screen moves, they could easily with todays technology freeze that side of the screen and have someone change the balls while its going on. &, there is a bit where he is watching the screne and he barely moves for most of it, so that could possibly be frozen. Anyway, thats my theory. :)

  • Stop changing the channel dammit.

  • Big bro's over.... What else reason is there to tune into channel 4 on a Friday night? Magicians and illusionists are for weak minded individuals! May the force be with u!

  • If you look at 2.00 the camera zooms nto derren and cuts off half the balls.

Not sure how they did the rest, but mirrors are probably involved.

  • he didn't 'do it' - he didn't 'predict the results of the National Lottery' - he simply called out the winning numbers once they had already been announced by the BBC. otherwise he would have shown his 'predicted' numbers before the draw

  • the numbers were on the balls the whole time. he wasnt allowed to show them because by law they have to show them on the bbc first, they own the rights to them or something like that, he explained that on the show. thats why he did it after.

  • No the numbers weren't on the ball the whole time. You only think that because he said that.

And the BBC own the rights to the results, but they don't own the rights to someone posting a prediction. If it was possible to predict the numbers, he WOULD have shown them. The BBC thing just gave a credible reason for why he couldn't show them....all part of the trick.

  • instead of doing it with little plastic balls, Derren should have bought a ticket and just showed us it.

  • channel 4 wouldnt let him buy a ticket lol.which is a bit unfair i think, i mean it took him like a whole year to do this!

  • fucking bullshit, thats all it is

  • he explains it on friday =p

He said it took him a years work to do it so im guessing he should have something to show for it =p

  • I think its to do with delay between channels when he had his hand on his face they could freeze the screen and have enough time to change the balls.

  • the tv still running

  • The greatest tricked ever is the one the devil pulled? Cab Darren Brown convince the world he doesn't exist? And keep it up until he retires?

  • Why not show the numbers before the draw ??? People that enjoy this kind of thing obviously like being fooled! It's entertaining but it's still like someone pulling a coin from behind your ear and trying to convince you it was always there! The matrix has you!!!
