Listen to the following arias 1) Der holle rache 2) bell song from Lakme 3) doll song from The Tales of Hofman. I haven't seen the recording of Inva Mula doing it even though she did sing this role on stage, but maybe you'd find her. If not, there are a number of other great performances available.

The first larger part with words is from opera Lucia di Lammermoor by Donizetti, and the actual scene in opera does build up, but it also has mood changes as the heroine who sings it is mad at this point and her mood changes a lot, it's also a long scene. Here it cuts to the "diva dance" piece. If you want the original music just search for "Lucia di Lammermoor mad scene". The one in 3 parts with Natalie Dessay has English subtitles.

Après bien sur on entend bien a certains moments que la voix a été mixé, mais pas sur la hauteur des notes. Ecoutez Natalie Dessay ou Mado Robin par exemple, elles étaient capables de monter encore plus haut.
