you CAN get away from the POW by using those boosts on the sides where its like a mini halfpipe and when you land you get a boost. You dont' get hit by the pow when you're mid air. So basically I think anytime you're high enough in the air, you won't get hit by the pow.

my little sister just got wii for her 9th birthday. she got mario kart. its so anoying when your winning and you get mobbed by a blue shell then pow and get finished off by ink in your face. I just bought Mario Kart yesterday and I gotta say...the game kinda sucked the Big Hairy One. It wasn't the 'dumbing down' that was too much of a problem for me, but it was the damn A.I. always cheating: some other racers will always get the Blue Shell, the Blooper, and every GOOD thing ...but I'm only getting fuckin' bananas and green shells. Because of Wal-Mart's tight ass return policy, I'm screwed over of my 53 dollars...

oh yeah, Tobin, there actually ARE missions in Mario Kart Wii...the tournaments...some of them are missions and some of them can be boss battles, too like the boss battle missions in Mario Kart DS, but yeah, it's not the same, but still, they're there..I did one and felt lame because since I don't use the Wii Wheel..and this one MAKES you use it..I actually ended up switching to gamecube controller since my mom took the controls and i was forced to play with gamecube..

It was a lot worse when PAX was in Bellevue. Now it's in the big Seattle convention center so it's pretty easy to avoid the really smelly ones. It lets you pull the flash videos off youtube, I then go to zamzarDOTcom and you can upload and convert to pretty much anything (FOR FREE!) which they email a link from which you can dl your new file (makes getting mp3s of people's original music possible. Hope that suggestion works.

You wrap your 360 in a towel and leave it runnign so it remelts the solder on the motherboard, it will usually give a person a few hours before you have to do it again.
