@ManDeathcore Although it has mathcore elements, but based on the tuning of the guitars and the guitars and use of double base I have to conclude it is metalcore. Also note that mathcore is a very very arbitrary genre that has amalgimated with metalcore. True mathcore existed for a few yeas after Dillinger's Calculating Infinity. Also mathcore DOES NOt have clean vocals, since the principal is hardcore+odd time. Hardcore does not have cleans. Lastly, there are death growls....not mathcore.
@ManDeathcore. Protest The Hero is not mathcore, they are much more metalcore than even Journal. Again, the tuning of Protests guitars, and most importantly the fact of how melodic which contradicts most mathcoreIf you listen to a song like Sugar Coated Sour (youtube it :P) you will see the stark difference between real mathcore and this. Metalcore isn't bad, its just different. Even if Journal has one mathcore song, it doesn't make them mathcore. I appreciate the conversation though.
@apocwem dude you do know that mathcore is music not vocals right? You talk about dillinger and they had cleans on every album minus the first one. Vocals have nothing to do with mathcore because mathcore is only music, you can't categorize mathcore into vocals lol
@apocwem although i didnt read you comment , they are not im mean on their facebook they label themselves as "Mathy Nintendo Metal" , mathcore w/ nintendo influence ..your wrong... im mean i talked to the guys! hell they sent me stickers and shirt through the mail...they are not metalcore.
Look, this isn't metal core. Its more experimental math core.
