Had you chosen to look for more information than you have now, you would have known that Letterman dealt with that problem. He said it was a joke of bad taste and that he obviously was talking about the 18-year old daughter. You know, the one who got knocked up before getting married? I wonder if the story with the truck getting stuck in the mud is a real story, or a play on the fact that when celebrities have interviews on talk shows, they often have professional "joke writers" write stories for them. Either way...good story...and it seems like he did make a good decision.
