  • Excellent. So this partially explains the higher MTBF I now see on some SLC and MLC based SSDs available for desktop use (at least ones employing Micron NAND Flash). I'm assuming the higher available cycling in concert with tweaked firmware for wear leveling, etc. that most SSD vendors now have also contributes to the higher MTBF. Finally, it's time to switch to SSDs for good! Excellent job on the video Mr.Kilbuck; it's clear, straightforward, and just what I was looking for.

    I hope this technology won't increese the cost too much, and hopefully this will increese the rate nand flash is getting into the storage market.
