OK repeat after me acetylene is a flamable gas...oxygen is an accelerant... light the acetylene and introduce the oxygen. If the outlet pressure is too high it's hard to light the acetylene.
Unbelievable that they let people like this loose with dangerous equipment. I wouldn't trust the guy with a spoon.
i have never seen someone have such a hard time lighting a torch. Seriously. he shouldn't be playing with that shit if he hasnt the slightest idea how to light one
I went away and made 10 cups of coffee, when I came back you still had'nt turned the bloody oxy off so that you could light the damn thing.Painfull........I'm outa here.
Can anyone give some details on what you can use to plug up the ends. My guess is you will have to build the plugs. Does the material need to be heat resistant or will rubber plugs work. I'm sure it depends on the distance from the spot being worked on. Otherwise just for showing effect on the pipe, the video is very good.
You seal off the ends of the chamber and then you fill it with compressed air then you heat it up and the dents will be pushed out by the compressed air. It works i just did mine the other day.
noice! ill have to try this for kicks when i finally replace my ktm 300's pipe. Maybe ill even get it to work again, and ill have a spare. Thanks for the post, i wondered how they did this. Be careful when you light your torch.
I used a rubber cap from the plumbing isle... I put a bolt in air valve in the center of it and a hose clamp around the other end. I did not use 40 psi, I used about 15psi... It worked perfectly...
What did you guys use to plug the ends of the pipe so you could presurize it?
