@t0nkpi1s I see you looked up Wikipedia for your information there, but Im pretty sure it is a guitar they used for the solo, I have been playing guitar for about 9 year now...so I can tell when its a guitar or not and as I said before they used a synth pedal/pick-up to get there cosmic synth sound from the guitar. Guitars can sound like synth too you know.
