Being mostly working class, the punk influence of the late '70s was pretty natural, but ironically it's also what created tensions between punks and skins (old lemonheads didn't like it). Anyways, as new gens of skins evolved, a comparatively small faction arose with National Front affiliations. The media ate it up, resulting in all skins being unfairly cast as racist.
