What if, a person is set up as a fall guy for a bunch of people who will use the taxes of the people to live on. High class welfare. Bernie Madoff = big Democrat donor. Gave $25,000 of his stolen money to the 2008 Democratic Senatorial Campaign, helping them win. We do need to severely prosecute all financial criminals but we can't overly restrict the free market or we'll kill ourselves. We've been the richest country in the world for 120 years because of the free market. All new rules restricting it have to be very carefully thought out over years before being enacted to make sure they don't kill our economy.

Im a struggling house painter/carpenter. My clients cant get funds from banks to improve their homes. Banks are hoarding the bailout funds but they lavish executives with bonuses & vacations. Why are we afraid to nationalize banks? What would we lose? What would we gain? The recession can be over in months if we free up the $ that belongs to us in the 1st place. Give my clients loans so they can hire me & I can work get paid & buy goods/services & contribute to the recuperation of our economy

good point Robert, Sweden and Norway Nathionalised banks temporarerly in thhe 90s and thus avoided severe long term recession, comercial banks took over, and the government actually earned money by investing LONG in the banks.

Robert, I understand that you may think that a Nationalize Bank would be better run that a Private bank. But actually since the FED creation, is a PRIVAtized NATIONAL Bank.
