  • I was not expecting all that, it probably moved the building an inch or 2

  • did you use gunpowder or something for the ignition? - Or was the ´lighter enough to do "that"?

  • Nice test. Although I would have done it outside..

  • Are you going to do any more tests? It's been 5 years. I was hoping to see more. Good stuff though. I hope you're working for NASA now....LOL.

  • Put a nozzle on it and show me some mach diamonds

  • This video was made in 2007 and there will not be a sequel.

A short google search will show you that Eric Stackpole, one of the boys in this video, is now working at NASA.

This goes to show what a little bit of hard work and perseverance can achieve.

    To any other prospective rocketeers:

Keep at it. The sky isn't the limit.

  • for one moment I thought they nuke the world! Lmao that was like an earthquake!! Any instructions on how to build a baby like this?

  • that was intense!

  • That needs to be outside!

  • that was amazing

  • what was your nozzle diameter?

  • holy shit

  • I wanna use two small paintball tanks on with liquid o2 or NOS, is it possible to fill these tanks with the o2?

  • i bet that would make one hell of a thermic lance.

  • did you guys ever make a part 2? Wish you would the motor is really COOL!!!!

  • fair play to all the guys in this clip thats one of the most powerful looking home made rocket motors ive seen

get back on it guys! and if your parents are still causing you trouble move out lol one more thing on safty make your hose longer and plan for complete motor failure (explosion) as you would have been diging bits of metal out of ya selves for a while if it had blew up p.s. did you use some sort of flashback arrestor ? and were did u get you oxygen?

  • loudness has nothing to do with power!

  • well u clearly do otherwise you wouldnt bother to comment lol

  • Terrorists don't like him either.

  • nice work, at least you have safety glasses on

  • How'd you do that??? I've been trying to find a compact, powerful rocket motor for months!!

  • omg nice!!!!

  • "Where's your earplugs...", said Mom.

  • Looks like you may need a blast shield!

  • definately!

  • W007 W007 YOU GUYS RULE!!!

  • HOLY SHIT THAT WAS A BIG ASS GLARE

  • AWESOME!!! HOW did you make it?

  • nice :D

  • Danmmm!!!! Woohoo!!

    LOL

  • how you make theses i am in need of a sweet sciance projects please post detales or where to find

  • Fantastic! I am keenly interested in thrust measurements on these hybred rockets. Considerring the low cost of fabrication compared to tradion rockets, there may be some commercial potential for this concept. Will you be doing a test launch? If so, i would love to see the video. But please be careful. Consider relay / remote ignition, electro- gas valve, fire supression, and a less flamable test envirnment. God speed.

  • did you get the GOx from electrolyzing H2O, or from the welding equipment?

  • you guys should start using electric ignition. you can make your own caps, small gauge nickel chromium wire soldered to insulated leads. dip the igniter nitrocellulose laquer (you melt a ping pong ball in acetone), then dip it in black powder , rinse repeat. google it, they use em in all types of hobby and amateur rocketry as well as pyrotechnic ignitions in general.

  • thats a high level best practice: its a good idea you can start doing such stuff! cool

    bye

  • yep i cought it

  • i love the laugh!

  • how did u make it

  • loses points for not explaining what they were doing exactly

  • did you look at the long description on the side, its very thorough.
