this piece gave me hard goose bumps... omggg i really am feeling the way yu caught my attention even after i was laughing at first ... it takes alot of creativness to create something so deep ... i love it .... keep it up,... i wanna hear more~ t.priceless
Well.....that was interesting. Isn't it wonderful to think that the argument of "Dual Consciousness" is now obsolete because Barack Obama is now the most powerful man in the world? You see my fellow Black men and women, who I never have viewed as minor or inferior, the days of claiming that the white man is holding you back are over! Isn't that a great thing? The days of claiming that Black people just can't be successful in America cannot possibly hold any water anymore. Glad we had this chat!
I respect what you are saying and appreciate the fact that you said it, but to be totally honest, no individual that is not black can give insight to the black perspective. The argument is not that black people cannot be successful in America because we can and that is obvious, but the conditions of and for black people are so much more different than any other ethnic group. I am not justifying any claims and I believe we have responsibility in the matter but there are so many factors to look at.
im lost until i find myself in a reality i have made, it seems i make no sounds until i am heard, i have yet to exist in a place that i miss im a dreamer that needs to wake up in my dreams. im a sinner in the hands of a devil i am a character with no camera, a poet with no characters and possibly a false start to a book that has not been written.
Yoooooooooooooooooooooo my dude kilt it once again i freakin luv him!!!!!!! His consciousness is literally breath taking ... (but OMGeez dat music in da background drove me craZ)
I freaking love you man! I have been trying to follow you ever since I stumbled across you when I was bored watching old episodes of Def Poetry Jam on here. I tell everyone about you as much as possible.
is this a freestyle or something or did he write it??????.... it seems as it vould go either way.... whatever its the best thing iv ever heard i listen to it daily
About the pronunciation - it's origin is French and would be pronounced doBwah, however, funny piece of historical trivia, WEB pronounced it and introduced himself with the American accent.
The quote is from W.E.B. Du Bois' book of essays titled the Souls of Black Folk and can be found in the first essay titled Of Our Spiritual Strivings.
This is ignorance at its finest hour. He emphasizes the message of social injustice and inequality synonymously directly linked to slavery. Slavery has been abolished, civil rights have been amended. However, this message fails to address contemporary progress that is stagnant amongst his community who is to blame?
Clearly you have been living under a rock! Civil rights have been amended? When and where did this truly happen? So I can go live there. I agree with weezcake

the fact that obama is black means nothing, especially if his aspirations are overshadowed by the superior intentions of the esoteric
