  • 04:16 Clearly, Critic you haven't seen Star Trek 11. That not only gave Star Trek a new lease of life, but also made it mainstream accessible and above all badass.

  • I deduce, dear boi, that Balki's overratcing (5:01) must cease if, dear boi, this movie is to be taken seriosuly._.

  • YOU MORONS THE GUY WITH THE ACCENT IS AUSTRALIAN! YOU KNOW "lets have a shrim on the barbie" OR "good day mate" good lord nobody got that?

  • the book was soo much better

  • Venkman: You're scaring the straights.

  • I bet the "Unexplained Psychic Childrens Club" is right in between the "Internet State Penitentairy" and the "State Home for the Ugly".

  • The blind girls aunt was reading Cujo a Steven King book so in other words its making reference that steven king is a real person in his own stories

  • @DarkVaati13 reallky i didn't notice that!

  • 6:57! Dear, God. I can never watch that scene without my stomach cringing. NC, please warn us before you decide to use one of the most disturbing scenes in cinematic history. I've been trying to avoid it since I was seven.

  • childs play and fright night kick ass but this movie sucks

  • "Deducing is my bread and butter."

My bird is page 3 and my car's a nutter.

L-l-loads of money is the shout I utter,

as I wave my wad at the geezers in the gutter.

  • I remember when The Langoliers came out & all the hype there was about it.Now I enjoyed the cast mostly, but my main prob (even tho I enjoy Stephen Kings movies) was the monsters! Why?It's CGI.I don't know why,but a rolling blob with teeth just didn't scare me at the time.Sorry, but CGI always look fake to me for some reason.

  • Later on in the movie they find out that matches and other such things don't work outside the plane...so...how did the gun go off?

  • I must admit when I saw the clown A.k.A IT I wanted to stop watching. I have never seen a Stephen King film or read one of his books I do not think I want to

  • Mr. Toomey makes me laugh.

  • justin bieber stole his haircut from the little girl

  • Haruhi Fujioka, that girl is Haruhi Fujioka

  • @Solefirefly Ouran Highschool host club? I see where you're coming frobut, still...

Who would have found another anime fan here.

  • Why did the nostalgia critic stop using youtube?

  • @pixelated111 His channel got shut-down for "copyright infringement"

  • This movie is incredibly long.

  • @foodonface It's a miniseries and it's only 3 hours total (granted those 3 hours aren't exactly pleasant....)

  • @CoolerKing37 that's pretty long, and the scenes that seem like they will be short turn out to be long. However, it is still entertaining.

  • Fright Night remake was badass

  • I was hoping the appearance of Dean Stockwell in this movie would prompt NC to crack a Blue Velvet joke.

  • That little blind girl looks like a little boy. :/

  • this is a good review deep boy

  • I love the way Nostagia kept cutting back out using footage to accompany the funny moments like the crazy dance bit LOL

  • "Horrible cereal noise", because nothing is more terrifying than cereal.

Also, Mr. Toomey is comedic gold in this!

  • how come nobody said "Scaring the little girl?" yet?

  • 5:05 LMGMFAO!!!

  • youre entering a world of awkwardness

a world of over-used characters and cliches

a world where over-acting is rewarded and terrible effects are the norm

a world where plot details are either too explained or not explained enough

behind that door is a river of blood

behind that door two scary little girls

behind that door a sh***y remake that f***s it all up

youre about to enter... the stephan king mini-series(dramatic music) whoa!!

  • this movie freaked me out, as a little kid, but i was little. I mean, I still think to this day the build up in the movie is good, but...once those crappy CG meatballs pop up all that buildup falls flat...

  • Wow, an overact-off!

  • Hey The Twilight Zone Called, Its whats its opening back!

  • His Shattner impersination is awesome

  • @Vargur1986 i DEDUCE, young boy.

  • yay for airplane!

  • WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bullets have no effect in this world, you said it at 13:24 i understand that if time works on the plane the girl can die there but what about the black dude!!! He died in the airport! IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!!!! (I'm this close to cracking :( )

  • @14597ojai the black guy was stabbed, not shot.

  • Yeah, alot of Stephen King's movies don't do as well as his books. For example, the novela 'The Apt Pupil' is in my opinion his most fucked up and creepy story, yet the movie was pitful and didn't nearly capture all the creepiness and the even creepier underlying tones.

  • Everybody was also hooked on Reboot Season 4 but were then suddenly letdown by one of the biggest cliffhangers ever ROFL

  • @seanpatrickcain2 you get a thumbs up cause of not only mentioning Reboot, but connecting it to NC and Stephen King.

  • @XXCreed Thank You!

  • So let me get this straight: Most of the passengers have dissapear and only a few people survived because they fell asleep in the plane......WHERE EVERYBODY FALLS ASLEEP.

    Sorry for my shitty english

  • 11:05 thats what she said

  • What movie was it with the bear on the plane at 6:54?

  • 3:02 He his serious critic, and don't call him shirley.

  • What the f**k is wrong with " Child's Play" and, especially, the great and mighty "Fright Night"!? Does he know what a horror comedy is!? I like his reviews, they're funny stuff, but I think his is more of a typical movie critic, who wants " deep, intelligent and swedish" movies :P Ok, just joking with that last one, but... " Fright Night" is really awesome! What the hell!?

  • @wujucinek he never said anything was wrong with them other then there silly movies which they are but trust me i fucking love fright night but i never really did care for any of the childs play films i mean its a fucking 2 foot tall doll whats to be afraid of

  • Oh Dean Stockwell, WHAT THE HELL?! YOU'RE A BETTER ACTOR THAN THIS!

  • @shockwavecg I know right! 4 Emmys and 5 gloden globes! no kidding! I have this strange feeling that he thought this was a satire and so he played it up and no body told him otherwise :P

  • hell yea Twilight Zone reference at the beginning of this video

  • Comment removed

  • "Listen, theres nothing to smell"

  • @jdownham1 childs play doesnt?

  • is it just me or does that blind girl look like that girl from charlie brown? i don't know what her name is but she's that one that always says sir.

  • @billyhammet her name was marcy. and yes she does look like her!

  • 6:53 whats that from?

  • man what the hell?! i loved this story and Tom Holland ruined it!

  • Scaring tHE LITTLE GIIIIIIIIIIIIRL ???!! D:

  • MY WIDE ANGLE LENSE IS ABOUT TO BURST!!

    SCARING THE LITTLE GIRL! XD

  • 00:00 to 00:02 what is the name of the music?

  • @aquelescaraaaaaaaaaa forgot but it's used for twilight zone

  • The reason Stepehn King has a maine fetish? He was born here and lives here. Specifically in Bangor :P that's why most of his books take place there. I've seen his house

  • why woukdn't they want to go to Maine? Mabey they all play Silent Hill games and/or heard knews of all it's paranormal goings on n_n

  • This movie does suck in some ways, but I give it a pass for how trippy the story is and for being a TV Movie with a low budget and for having Balki. Balki has never done anything that isn't good, Beverly Hills cop and True Romance are two of my favorite movies. Also, people who say the TV movie Shining is better than Kubricks just because it sticks to the book more are smoking crack, judge it independently of the book.

  • DANCE of JOY

  • Hey, give Ask that guy's pipe back!

  • @IWantLindseyToWantMe Yeah! He doesn't know where it's been!

  • @AmonDevilman GAH! good point!! Ugh! xD that's probably how the first one broke...O.o

  • @hyenalord You aren't the only one who liked the Tv version of The Shining. I like Jack Nicholson, but he was too over the top. Steven Weber made him a more realistic, sympathetic character.

  • YES! AIRPLANE! What's our vector, Victor?

  • @SitaBrightwind roger,over! Huh?!

  • The NC's too hard on Tom Holland, as both "Fright Night" and "Child's Play" are both good movies, but he has a point on his name being so huge in the DVD credits. Those two aformentioned movies are pretty much the only two decent movies Holland has ever directed in his career. He's not a Speilberg or Cameron who'll get people into seats just by saying or displaying their name. People hear his name, they'll just go "Who?"

  • I love how he ducks before the title comes on!

  • You know when I look at that plane now........if think about flight simulator.

  • I FIGURED OUT WHY STEPHEN KING HAS THE MAINE FETISH! He get hit by a truck n he also lives there. simple nuff?

  • where did he get that music from where he says "set your johnson"

  • I swear, I must be the only person who thinks that the Shining with Stephen Weber is the better version. Kubrick's version had NOTHING to do with the book and was just a bunch of pretentiously artsy wank... like most of his movies, honestly.

  • I believe the Dead Zone is hands down his best work.

  • Is that one girl Anne Hathaway?

  • I REMEMBER THAT! What's it about because I had no clue.

  • MAINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LMAO on 8:03

  • @MrHEC381991

Actually, the bullet didn't hit him at all. Since time was still, the slug stopped as soon as it left the cartridge.

  • MY WIDE ANGLED LENS IS ABOUT TO BURST.

    >:|

  • i thought Child's Play and Fright Night were acclaimed movies

  • Maine Fetish!!!

  • All in favor of giving Laira's transformation from Green Lantern: Emerald Knights the dance of joy say Aye.

  • @jdownham1 dinners in the oven! MMMM-MMM!

  • Whoah! sorry - but that weezy guy gettin shot in the chest at point blank with a magnum leaving no trace of resadue, blood, wound or hole on the clothing?

  • 8:09 and my chair fell backwards

  • @jdownham1 Yeah When I heard the Nostalgia Critic say Fright Night and Child's Play were silly, I almost flipped a shit! But nevertheless, I love this review and Stephen King books in general.

  • @martythetickler

Yeah, but it's not like that means it's the only place he can write about.

  • Not to Be a pussy ,but when i was young I watch Childs Play ANd it scared the shit out of my (when i was YOUNG) And now i cant see Adorable Soft Toy the same Wat anymore i keep thinking that they would strangle and at night Well So i threw them all away

  • MY WIDE ANGLE LENS IS ABOUT TO BURST

    XDDD

  • is he going to review the shining minisseries?

  • Imagined if my name took up two thirds of the credits in my Reboot: At Web's End idea ROFL

  • @AntChaotix Yeah, I noticed that some time ago. I also used 'slip' when I intended to type 'clip.' I have such trouble with proofreading sometimes.

  • 3:49 OMFG THE RAPTURE ACTUALLY HAPPENED!

  • 0:18 what is the name of that episode?

  • 12:43 to 12:48, XDDDDD

  • "MY WIDE ANGEL LENSE IS ABOUT TO BURST!!!"

    "Scaring the little GIRL?!"

Those two bits are so hilarious, I can forgive the NC for (a) not realizing that King sets most of his novels in Maine because it's his home state and (b) failing to recognize Dean Stockwell and make some appropriate "Quantum Leap" jokes. I mean, this flick is about time-travel and no "Quantum Leap" jokes. Not even a "Ziggy says we're going to get eaten by giant balls" line?

  • An A-? That's still a good grade

  • All Stephen King novels are set in Maine because that's where he was born.

  • I loved that film very much - too much long but still great. The atmosphere was good, tense, even scary. The acting was decent. The Langoliers is one of the most underrated Sci-Fi films of the 90's - along with FutureSport, The Time Shifters, Virtuosity, Tha Lawnmower Man, Alien 3, Space Truckers, Strange Days, The Arrival, Mimic, The Apocalypse (1997), Virus, RoboCop 2, Them, Body Snatchers etc

  • I'm with some others on here about your comment regarding fright night and childs play. I don't think they are just silly movies. They both have decent acting, good scripts, good direction, and great makeup-effects. They even do a good job at building suspense in some scenes. They both border on cheesy B-Movie terroritory but are far superior than many horror films that came out in the 80's and still hold up for fun viewing to this day.

  • 0:20 Hey, that remake was decent for those wanting more accurate adaptations of the book.

Or so I hear. Perhaps I should start actually watching these films before judging them.

  • MY WIDE ANGLE LENS ARE ABOUT TO BURST

    rotfl XD

  • somebody PLEASE tell me what movie is shown at 2:05! I have to see that film now...lol

  • "This place smells wrong"

Well it's Maine, what did you expect ?

  • Oh Critic, Critic, to be fair about that whole "Maine-fetish" he did widen his background setting to other different states in his novel The Stand....only two characters came from Maine.....wait, technically that story doesn't count does it seeing how its a nation-wide post-apocalyptic story and all..... >__>

  • ITS COMMING!

  • That was dumb NC saying Fright Night and Child's Play are silly movies their better than some of the crappy movies nowadays.

  • At :07 was that a clown masturbating?!?!

  • Okay talk about his work all you like it beats what that dumb ass lady that wrote Twilight.
