  • ERROL FLYNN IS MY FRIEND'S DISTANT CUZIN

  • i loved these films growing up my mother never missed a film so i watched also ..why dont they show them now, not just robin hood but captain blood etc

  • love to see him in those adventures, along with is side kick

  • Forget his autobiography My Wicked Wicked Ways.....LAME compared to the biography ( if you can find it ) by Charles Higham...Errol Flynn: The Untold Story. Best book I've ever read. This dude was the ultimate hellraiser from the start. Every man wanted to be him & every woman to have him. A friggin' wildman! The Untold Story may be out of print now, but I had 3 copies at one time. I'd loan them out & they eventually vanished. Thick paperback packed with 4 lifetimes worth of adventure. A KING!

  • He was amazing. he came on to the scene like a shooting star!

Never before nor never gain will we see his like. He had a lot of

problems. But when he was on the silver screen he just looked

gorgeous...and he could ACT! He demanded your attention when

on screen. I was shocked to learn he never won an academy award!

I believe he was never even nominated! Come on! A HUGE oversight

    by the Academy.

  • I am a lady and trust me he was very handsome.

  • Anyone know that old pirate fim where two men are walking on the seabed in a boat? What's the name of the film? I think there was a speechless pirate that was the captains mate or somethink. Maybe they are two diferent films, if so tll me both, lol. thanks

  • @william999666 That was with Burt Lancaster, The Crimson Pirate. His partner wasn't really speechless but was Lancaster's acrobatic partner from when they were in the circus

  • I LOVE him!!!

  • Have to hand it to him -jumping around in tights and comes off as one of the ultimate masculine screen heroes... VERY few could ever pulled that off...

  • Me again..He IS the most perfect! Sorry, I was distracted by the music!(smile)

  • WOW..How perfect is he?? THANKS post person! EBB TIDE hmmm but I GUESS I get it??

  • He was soooo gorgeous even by today's standards. Timelessly handsome.

He IS Robin Hood - there are no others!!!

Man I was born in the wrong era. Damn! I love the old time stars so much better... Vivien Leigh, Olivia D, Elizabeth Taylor. Monty Clift - so gorgeous and such a great actor. more the sensitive type..

I watch Errol Flynn whenever I need to see a real MAN onscreen!!! - and Gable.

Heck I prefer Redford, Newman & James Dean as well, to today's stars. ugh. anybody concur?

  • Great video and music. Read his autobiography! My Wicked, Wicked Ways... it's amazing, funny, outrageous, intelligent and surprisingly poignant. Errol Flynn was an original.

  • He was a man way ahead of his times. he would fit right in today and be the best actor in Hollywood bar none

  • @forty8r You're right he would be the most handsome actor right now, nor Brad Pitt, neither assorted hotties.

  • @WiltatKansas I can't get away from feeling that he was the very most handsome actor EVER. It's a hard and almost unfair call to make, but there was just something inimitably attractive about this guy. He was ideal...at least in some ways!

  • @hlaltimus well that was just what Ava Gardner wrote in her autobiography: My story. When Errol entered a room it was as if the light was turned on; and she added that he was probably the most beautiful man she ever saw, and with an amazing personality!

  • One of my top 3 favorite actors. What a presence!!!

  • errol made some great films its sad he died an alcoholic

  • He was a truly beautiful man. One of the best looking actors ever. I like the pictures with Olivia too. They looked Great together.

  • Hot-tay all the way and he had the most beautiful smile.

    Thanks:D

  • Errol Flynn was The King! He was the best ever!

Still loved and adored 50 years after his death!

Nobody has taken his place til this day and there will never ever be ONE like him. An Errol Flynn is only born once in a Millennium - if so?

  • Errol was devilishly handsome to an extreme.

  • errol flynn ha sido el mejor actor dentro del genero de cine de aventuras sin lugar a duda

  • A brilliant actor & a great Tasmanian too!!!

  • Nice video and Happy birthday Errol!

  • He wasnt gorgeous....he was GOJUSSS!

    *sigh* Lovely vid.

  • Amazing! Wow wonderful wonderful music!!

  • Excelente!

  • No one like Flynn . Gable, Power,Taylor,Reagan and his good friend Niven would all tell you that .. was a better actor than given credit for.. women AND men were charmed by his looks and manner. have heard many actresses of that time interviewed who stated he was the most beautiful man they had ever seen [e.g. Davis, De Havilland] ..lived life like few others with total disregard for conventionality Cost him his health and life A true legend! never be another! Thanks for posting

  • In reading a biography of Clark Gable, the author compared him with Flynn, and said Gable was really a tough guy, much bigger and stronger. But Flynn had athleticism, not brute strenght. You need agility, not brute strength to weild a sword. He had a great deal of charm, also. Not fair to compare them.

  • Jack Davenport (Norrington Pirates of the Car.) looks like him.

  • Comment removed

  • Acting and appearance don't make up for political believes which can effect everyone.

  • He was a friend of David Niven's too apparently.

  • Huge fan. Buy Errol Flynn Slept Here--a great book with facts about him. This video was wonderful!

  • Friends with Chaplain, and starred with Ronald Reagan.

  • Fans should remember him on June 20 this year. It's his hundredth birthday. What a man!

  • RIP

  • Hot damn! That is a beautiful man....

  • He was a god...

  • Marlene Dietrich called him "Satan's Angel?

  • My favorite actor of all time

  • Errol was the Man. From Peter Blood to Mike Campbell, he was one of my favorites of all time! Bung-Ho! Old Boy!

  • Errol Flynn is awesome. I admired him a great deal growing up.

  • Take a real long good look because there will never be another one like him.

  • what a great actor and good looking man he was. i was sad to learn he died in his 50s.big lose for the cinema

  • I'v loved him since i was 7 years old and I saw him in The Adventures of Robin Hood! What music did you use ??? I really like it !

  • The music is Mantovani's 'Ebb Tide' followed by 'The Sound of Silence'.

  • Wonderful tribute!~

Back in high school when all my friends were into Leif Garrett or Sean Cassidy (girly boys!) Errol Flynn was my guy! I put his photos in my locker!

I knew a man when I saw one! Flynn is #1 as the most handsome man in Hollywood! A close second would be Robert Redford in his hey day.

  • My favorite actor

  • im almost done with my wicked, wicked ways. great book. My dad used to talk to his daughter in the 80's on the phone all the time, i was too young to remember why, My dad is dead no so i cant ask, i wonder why they talked. interesting.

  • So stunning and what a sad loss :(

  • I think the picture at .58 - .61 seconds is hot!

  • Terrific Flynn photo composition. Music was perfect too.

  • Wonderful tribute.

  • Errol Flynn could do it all! He was great in swashbuckler roles as well as Drama and Westerns.

  • I just want to say your video tribute to Errol Flynn is brilliant you see I've always admired him and you yourself must be a big fan

    well done you.

  • Absolutely the most beautiful man in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually, he is. Apparently, he's Erroll Flynn's daughter's son (try saying THAT five times fast :P).

  • Olivia de Havilland, Joan Crawford and Bette Davis (even though she disliked him) called Errol Flynn "The most beautiful man who ever lived" and they were absolutely right because he was Apollo reincarnated!!

  • I'm not even a woman but I can say that Errol Flynn was handsome and charasmatic to an extreme, nobody since him even close to comparable

  • @greg4161 That's true, both you and BaronMullholland are right, Errol was the most powerful star to ever reach the silver screen, he just was too much for the camera.

  • Errol Flynn was an Irish Australian.

His father Theodore Flynn, a biologist and a university professor in both Tasmania and Ireland, was descended from the (O')Flynns an ancient Irish Gaelic family (Clan).

His name "Errol" is derived from a Scottish place name, of unknown meaning and his surname "Flynn" is derived from the Gaelic word "flann" which denotes a dull red colour and means "ruddy" when applied to persons.

  • ok,he was australian.but from an irish family? i saw his movies and sometimes he plays an irish man or do the other actors made jokes about it.

  • AUSTRALIAN OR IRISH ?

  • Flynn was born in Tasmania in 1920

  • He was born in Tasmania in 1909!

  • Flynn was the greatest star from Old Hollywood.

  • David Niven said he could beat up any man he ever met and did quite a few times, he loved to fight

  • Come, all you young men with your wicked wicked ways/sow your wild wild oats in your younger days/so that we may be happy when we grow old/Ah yes! Happy and happy when we grow old ... for the day's growing short, the night's coming on; well Darling -- Just gimme yer arm and we'll joggle' along/we'll joggle and joggle and joggle along.

Mr. Flynn, you never once joggled ... you shook the roof from its rafters. All us rakes love you. RIP, mate.

  • Errol Flynn was a god...

  • We Greeks loved legendary Errol Flynn.

The Greek association football team "Apollon Smyrnis, Athens F.C." have gone since the 1930's under the nickname "The Light Brigade", named after "The Charge of the Light Brigade"(1936), starring Errol Flynn, after winning the 1938 regional Athens championship.

Harry Klynn,(pseudonym of Vassilis N. Triandafilidis), the most popular stand-up comedian in Greece, is an Errol Flynn fan.His pseudonym "Harry Klynn" is actually inspired by Errol Flynn.

  • does anyone out there know the name of the first melody on this you tube video i just love it and want to have it there will never be another like errol flynn. one of a kind

  • THANK YOU!!! I was looking for this one pic that I used to see every morning before I went to work. The office was located 4-stories above all these fast-food places, so I would purposely walk thru McDonald's just to see (& greet)this amazing photo of Errol Flynn beautifully mounted. I wonder if it's still there...*sigh*

  • Good Lord he's handsome!

today a guy at my gym (who's in his 70s) told me i look like Errol Flynn with my new moustache... so i thought id look him up. Im so flattered! but no where near as good lookin as this guy ;)

He had a screen presence that has never been equalled.

  • The best swashbuckler of all time. Such a handsome devil His "The Adventures Of Robinhood" Best film ever! Loved the pix in this video Thanx!!!

  • best looking actor of all time.

    I worship him.

  • How'bout Power & Gable!

  • True,Tyrone Power and his EYES a gorgeous man ad a alented actor.Gable and hs unforgettable G.W.T.W,a real Gentleman.

Actually the 3 of them are my fav.

  • Me 2 in any order!

  • I concur, Zacatown. There wasn't a less inspiring swashbuckler than Costner's Robin Hood (Morgan Freeman carried that movie). Even Richard Greene as Robin Hood in that '50s-'60 tv serial had more pizzazz - and he didn't set the bar very high.

  • Hey Petsounds, everyone has an opinion(among other things)... Flynn was an incredibly UNDERRATED actor admired by everyone from Glenn Close to Richard Dreyfus and even Bette Davis. His Robin Hood was a performance that could inspire cowards into battle.(unlike Costner) Long live Flynn!!!

  • Flynn is the man!

  • Try Tyronne Power.

  • My prefered actor of all time, the most handsome man of the history and very funny, he makes me cry.

  • God, I love this man!

  • great moviemen

  • I love him

  • I wish Hollowood would stop trying to replace him, no one is ever going to take his place. No one has all the qualities he had, they all fall short and the always will.

  • He has at least 2 grandsons that hold their own in the looks and acting department.

  • Have we seen his gransons in anything?

I know that his son was a photographer who is listed as missing in viatnam.

  • If you ever want to look up about anywho that is a public person search imdb + name. All your favorite movie stars, political candidates, etc.

  • he is the one got me to love each and every robin hood version.

  • captain blood was my first erroll flynn movie i'd ever seen. from then on i've been hooked. he was AMAZING!

  • Handsome Flynn was such a charismatic man! And so charming too. Well done.

  • I think he was the most handsome man that ever lived. There is no doubt that there never was a better "Robin Hood" in the movies than him. The video brought back many memories and tears.

  • One of a kind, a man's man with a great self effacing sense of humor.

Nice edit over a gorgeous version of "Ebb Tide" and "Sound s of Silence". Is it Montevoni?
