You could always grow some semi shorter stubble and apply coverup over top of it which gives your stubble a cleaner, more polished and lighter look to it. If that's what you mean by faded. :p

Having a full grown beard with short hair really does not go well. But if it is lease minimum length like thus guy, it is OK. Anything that is not a full grown beard is awful, as I hate goatees or any odd like facial hair. Mustaches are cool, especially well with short hair.
