Bose are 1 of the best specialized in sound systems of every branch stop boycotting them because you just prove your an idiot @ all poor people who dont like bose for the price tag
I don't get you guys.. I do have to admit that bose is a bit overrated, but out of all of the computer speakers that i personally tested, these were by far the most crisp speakers out there. The sub isn't very boomy, but the mids and highs are incredible. everything sounds lifelike instead of sound coming from speakers.
I have these speakers as well, have had it for over 3 years now and its still working perfectly. I love the sound it produces. I do wish that it came with a wireless remote control of some sort and possibly an extra digital input. But I have it plugged into my desktop and the TV via the stereo to 3.5mm.
Great speakers even for the high price tag. 3 years and counting... so far its $83.33 per year hehe. Bought it for $250 with $150.00 OFF employee discount.
All I know is what I hear and every time I hear bose speakers they sound awsome I was once an audiophile nut always buying new more expensive gear trying to get the holy grail of sound. But now I know it's a waste of time I now just buy what ever sounds the best to me and it just happens to be bose.
It is amazing to see the haters on here posting comments claiming logitech makes a better sound system than Bose. I am not sure if theyare upset because they cannot afford Bose systems, or somehow got their hands on some amazing crack. Either way, this is what Bose does. They make high-end sound systems, end of discussion. When is the last time you saw a logitech sound system inside of a high-end automobile?Or better yet, on a sound stage at a concert?Or even better, in a home theater store?
True, Logitech isn't a high end speaker company at all...They don't even make the speakers they sell in their system(Tangbang makes them) but compared to other high end speaker systems, Bose is overpriced.
Aggree. I mean look, some people will even make videos of things that they say either you can get for the same amount of money, hint, hint. Thing is they won't demo them. They won't let us see how true there clames are.
bobbydiggs28, are you mentally impaired? Surely you must be. Bose does NOT make high end sound systems. They have a high-end marketing force that tries to make you THINK that their products are 'high end'. In reality, they are junk, and you can get much better products for a fraction of the cost. Logitech isn't much better, but at least Logitech are priced for what they are. Also, any designer who buys bose for a concert system or other professional use should be fired for incompetence.
I'm trying to decide on speakers but I don't want a 5.1 system. I want a 2.1 system or else I would have gotten z5500s. so its either these or klipsch promedia 2.1. which is better?
meh can get z-5500s that can shake my room, they actually have really nice highs and you have to turn them incredibly loud for the highs to become distorted and even high for the lows to become distorted...has REAL 5.1 instead of poor quality software encoded 5.1 that doesn't work, the sub is bigger and the sattellite drivers are bigger and aren't just stupid tweeters <__< think of bose as playing it safe by having a low power setup, not running any sort of risk of having distorted sound
It is physically impossible for any of the bose companion speaker sets to provide a larger sound field and reproduce a larger, more accurate range of sounds than a set of logitech Z-5500D's...Full sized Driver...bigger subwoofer. Drivers provide Highs AND mids as opposed to just highs....and the subwoofer can produce lower frequencies...you try any bassy shit on a set of companions and you'll get distortion or maybe blow em if you push it, understand how speakers work THEN judge my response
yeah, but you like to talk way to much i can only tell you that maybe rich people are able to tell about differences between a Bose to its cmpetitors, we bouth the Lifestyle 35 and i can only say theres nothing out there like that.. totally worth it and in the cars A++ and i also bought the 151 outdoor thats my experience..what about yours? you probably went to your friends house and saw the companion and cuz you cant afford it you bash it soyou can buy your logitech right?is that what happened?
I am an audio enthusiast, and I have heard a two way system that was about $80,000. However, I have mostly heard systems costing from about $500-$6000 (including the Bose Lifestyle 48). I can tell you right now, Bose is the joke of the audio industry. My family's Wharfedale 5.1 surround sound system at home, which was about $1500 including the Blu-Ray player, totally crushes the Bose LS 48. Don't say a certain sound system is the best when you haven't heard a wide variety of sound systems!
You obviously haven't heard brands like Paradigm, Wharfedale, and PSB, who's lower-end speakers, all of which are cheaper than anything Bose and TOTALLY crush it. Their higher-end speakers more than the price of a Lifestyle 48, such as Paradigm Reference Signature S8s, which are $7000 a pair.
There's also brands out there that make speakers that cost anywhere from $10,000 a pair to $150,000 a pair.
Don't say an audio company is better until you've heard a very wide variety of other brands!
get the z-5500. these people are crazy, they think bose is really better than the competition just because of it's advertisements. it's really not a better company, not even close. the z-5500 's have better high's and mid's and the bass just blows away everything bose has to offer.
wow its really good to see someone who actually knows their shit...thats exectly right z-5500s are much better. They reproduce mids, highs and bass much better than any bose speakers. the mid frequencies arent good on the bose companions....and the bass is average z-5500 ftw
no...what you are hearing is what speakers sound like when they lack the potential to have TRUE power...the punch a bose system might have...the punchy type of bass is very easily achieved...what takes a lot of power and a large subwoofer is sustaining a low frequency in a way that it can be properly heard and without distortion, logitech speakers hit highs mids and bets of all LOWS perfectly...Z-5500Ds are better than any bose speaker set, do your research, i have..want more of a rant, PM me :P
well if you'd direct you attention to my previous comment, right at the end it says "think what you want, i guess i don't care" i really don't want to argue anymore.... agree to disagree?
the logitechs are probably the only speakers you've ever heard. the z5500's are great, the bose 5's are more refined and more accurate though kid. You can't really compare the two anyway.. ones a 2.1 and others a 5.1.
so...if z-5500Ds were 2.1 they'd stll be better, anyways i use the Z-5500Ds as an example heaps because they are exceptional, JBL, Klipsch, Wharfdale, Yamaha, Pioneer home theatre systems are generally better than bose's home theatre as well. Z-5500Ds easily blow companions out of the water in my opinion, you can disagree but, you see i have actually done research not only into the brands themselves but the technology they both incorporate and how it works, so whatever
lol took my wharfdale valdus 500's into a bose store to compare them and the £150 wharfdales could pump out more bass than the £3000 home theater, they also sounded a lot more balanced and natural. the sales reps even agreed lol
and at this point the wharfdales were on less than half volume, when i cranked them it was like an earthquake and the sales rep told me to get out lol
they are both shit, get real speakers, not pc crappy 2.1 or 5.1 cos there is a huge loss in sound at the crossover, and the subs are usually pretty bad
i know comments saying logitech speakers are better have no place in a bose comment section...but for the record i used to think bose was better once...but in the process of trying to prove a logitech fan wrong....i realised that bose were inferior in comparison...so whatever think what you want, i guess i dont care
bose is good, but in my opinion you could get much more for your money.
you pay a lot of money for the name "bose" and not the quality.
you can definitely get better ones for 600 $...
i have a system from "Teufel", it´s a german company which only produce loudspeaker for home entertainment and i´m very happy with them.good price-performance ratio
if you want to have a really really good system you can invest tousands of euros, but nobody need something like that for its home entertainment ;)
There was no stand nearby! Only that one Bose, it was I think a Camapanion 3 or 5, no stand, just sitting on display on a shelf. Flat on the shelf with the subwoofer (Acoustimass Module) on the left.
I don't understand why people would want to buy it just for the name if it doesn't sound good. Obviously there's something about Bose sound that people like, be it not pure or accurate. And if you're rich, who cares about the price, all in the name of innovation I see it. Just look at their suspension system.
I just upgraded to the Companion 5, from the Companion 3, due to a problem with how the RCA's connected, were shorting out on me. For $110 more, the Companion 5's are way way better than the 3's. Get the 5's if your planning on getting Bose. Night and Day differece, not only in sound, but in workmanship, connections, wiring used. jv
ok i can understand maybe saying klipsich speakers are better than all the desktop speakers has released but i assure you...they are NOT better than anything and everything bose has released i give you a 100% garentee on that...they have very expensive loud speakers mainly for industrial use.....that have very powerful bass and treble response...they cost several thousand dollars but i garentee you they are much better than the speakers you speak of...so please get your facts straight...
Well u can buy a civic or an accord does the job but people who can afford it should buy the rest of the lot who cant will post their gibberish anyway i have the bose companion 5 and the klipsch and if u r looking for sheer power empty pocket recommend the klipsh else if u have the money and style go for bose.
I've had the Companion 5 for almost over a year now and never have regretted making the purchase. Some people find the Bose speakers to be overpriced which is actually true but not in this case, however. The Bose Companion 5 Speaker System is by far the best computer speaker there is available for any system. Some people say that the Bose speakers has bad lows and highs and are all mids but these speakers actually produce a much better quality compared to other brands available at the same price
i assure you....and am 100% certain that you harmon kardon soundsticks will not beat these speakers....sure yours are good value for money but to say they can beat bose companion 5s is just fucking stupid.....get a life
I assure you that Klipsch Promedia 2.1s sound much better than anything Bose has put out, and for $150. I've used Companion 3's in stores before. They cost way more than the Promedias and despite that, the one I used made all the sound in the demo material sound mashed together. It did sound decent, but of course, the speakers put out less midbass than my Logitech Z4s (which is sad).
To continue what I said, that means that the sub fills in all the midbass. It sounds full and big in the store because the sub is right there with the satellites, so it sounds more like the sat's are putting out that midbass, but when you take it home and the sub is under your desk, the voices and explosions come from under your desk, not the satellites.
you can connect through 3.5mm, on the control pod, there is a headphone jack and a input jack, (connect through the input jack) which allows you to connect through 3.5mm jack instead of usb, hope that has helped, thanks.
the only problem with bose is that their unbelievably overpriced, and they blow out if volume is too high. that means bose is a stupid waste of money!
Well no shit if you overload any speaker it will blow out LOL. Yesa they are overpriced because they don't sound as good as stuffin their price range.
i got them spekers and there the dogs i use them for all my music 4 what u pay 4 them u cant get better !!!!!! if i was you i would go and get a set TODAY !
i bought these speakers at compusa for $200 new in box !! and i also bought a gateay xhd3000 30" extreme hd monitor for $1019. these speakers are the shit.
Or if you don't want to spend $600 for a 2.1 system. Why? Well if you are a true audiophile you won't go with a 2.1 anyway.. and if you're not then the lower quality will do.
No, it's also overpriced if you can afford it. For the money, there's much better stuff out there. Think about it, if Bose was as good as everyone thinks, wouldn't they be THX certified? Wouldn't they be used in movie theaters and at concerts? And plus, most people who think Bose is good haven't heard anything better. I was once like that too, but all it took was a pair of Klipsch computer speakers to teach me how deep in Bose's marketing I really was.
@videoCWK i agree. ask bose fans if they know the names -klipsch -energy -polk audio -mbl -cerwin vega -bowers+wilkins -martin logan -paradigm *and much more any decent speaker from any of those brands will kick bose's ass any day, everyday ^^
i just boughted from best buy after spending 2 days with these speakers bose companion 5,i come to this..,that for the games they r not perfect cause they have alot of bass even u cant hear the otheir sound in the games that supose to be hear louder or some.,and i have Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatality Sound Card that i use with my old speakers creative those realy give amzing sounds in the games, that were very low in the bose or if iwant hear more sounds i have to increase the volum but bass.
cuz bose sound fucking anwsome every little sound of your film or music you ear it clean and balanced live now i have a z-2300 from logitech cuz i love BOOM THA BOOM but for my big home theater not showing in my vid i will post vid later i got jbl hls 820 and bose 301 ect the sound is crazy
Lol I know bose has awesome sound quiality, i've owned one. But for your average PC user, why get $600 speakers? And as I said audiophiles would rather get car audio for their PC.
I have the Z5500 and Spherex 5.1 as well as the Companion 5. By far, the best quality in music is from the Bose Companion 5 system. But if you want a very loud system and don't care about the quality of the sound coming out of it, then the Z5500 is good for that. The Spherex 5.1 delivers comparable quality as the Bose but not as clear though its very loud at 100% volume, louder than the Z-5500s.
Also, does your volume dial (control) on the bose only turn less than 180 degrees? Cuz mine turns less than 180 degrees.
Its not very loud compared the Spherex 5.1 I had. Hm.... I might go back to CompUSA this weekend to see if the Spherex speakers are still there. I really liked that one. I can keep the volume at 40 out of 60 and the volume on my computer at 50% and it sounds really loud.
Hey guys. I just got this speaker today. I traded my Spherex 5.1 speaker system at CompUSA because it was closing and I had a replacement plan on it. So I decided to get the Bose and paid the difference. I paid $150.00 for my Spherex Speakers 5.1 and I got this bose for only $260.00 at a discounted cost because I used to work at CompUSA. I have been listening to music since I got it a few hours ago and I'm a little disappointed.
My Spherex 5.1 sounded way louder than these set however the Bose has a much clearer sound. So I guess it was worth the extra $120.00 to pay for to upgrade from my Spherex to Bose Companion 5.
Well it you like loud music these speaker aren't really made for it. However like they it the quality not quantity, loud speaker are usually not clear.
If this system has an USB connection, and my computer has the Audio Blaster Audigy card with 4 different coloured muffles, it means I cannot connect the BOSE system to that card, right ?
to answer your question, the cards make absolutely no difference as the bass module contains its own. (i worked for Bose) just use a Usb port and change the setting in cntrl panel to 5.1 surround and your good
i cant believe you traded in your spherex system!!!!! those speakers are hella bomb. The company that makes the speakers are top notch, way better then bose.
I know! The only reason why I got the speakers was because this guy who came to my work when I was working at CompUSA he was gonna buy all 5 that we had in stock. I was curious and I ended up buying the 5th one. He told me about mirage speakers and stuff. so I bought one. But then they are just too bulky and i have no space in my dorm. they sound great though.
Ya....UNTRUE 5.1 sound. That has nothing on my Logitech Z-5500 with DTS 96/24, THX Cert, Dolby Digital Pro Logic II..that's true surround sound for a computer system~ It even beats most HTIBs.
not exactly like 5.1 but this system is very very clear and clean and gives very good ambience for the the background but in some ways you can get a little more from your money for the exact same amount but if you like these better go for it but if had the much money id probably get the logitech z-5500 but what i like about those is that they sound exactly like the thearters and there more crisp then the logitech ones
Why is everyone dissing on these speakers?..all u guys prob havent heard them thats why...there fucking clean...and they sound just like 5.1 sorround would!!!.
Finally someone understands BOSE rocks AND your right it does give 5.1 the other people know nothing and understands nothing JUST JEALOUS shame on you other people*****
i have a bose companion 3 series II system and its nice. very clean sub and speakers. the only problem is that bose SUCKS at subwoofer frequency response. they can hardly hit anything lower than 40 hz. and their hometheater products are overpriced and have bad build quality. if your buying home theater stuff from bose, you are wasting money because you can buy much better speakers for less money. go for klipch or paradigm or B&W.
i got the same speakers and they cost 359.99$ i don't known where you get them but they were expensive , i get the same speakers for 359.99$ ii also have a video about my bose companion 5.
i love my bose companion 5 they are louder and logitech just suck and logitech are also uglies!!.bose rules and BOSE 4 LIFE
hahaa you're a fucking loser if you think Logitech won't last. My friend's Logitech Z-640 is 7 years old and is still working perfectly. Expensive means nothing. It's about the sound quality and these aren't good in it. Not true 5.1 surround sound. And those drivers are like what? 1 mm?
Wooo well you and your old shit are cheaper YOU cheap ass and me loser? Your the loser because you CAN"T affort it that's why your complaining. Pfft 7years? 21years! found at my grandad :P AND YOUR 1mm
Mine is 7 months old.....$535.99 they still sell at Best Buy? And it has DTS 96/24, THX Certified, Dolby Digital Pro Logic II. It's a digital system not like your shit. I don't see Optical/Coaxial out on your crap. I don't see a 10" subwoofer either.
And yes I can afford it if I afforded my system. Even if I can afford it, I wouldn't even wanna buy it. It's a crap system giving you fake surround sound.
The only reason you bought them because they were "best buy" meaning cheap with alot of useless stuff. USB is the new connection style with simple. FAKE surround? probably than your 5.1 because I've heard your *because it everywhere* too common and your just another logitech sound quility person * thinking logitech can compare to old skool brand and hardcore brands like Jamo,JBL, AR, BOSE, Jensen, Boston..........etc
I know you know Logitech pwns this shit. No highs, no lows, must be BOSE. BOSE- Buy Other Sound Equipment. And they sound 5.1 MY ASS. Still not true 5.1 surround sound. They're just way overpriced. How can it sound good out of those tiny drivers.
a bose system for 400 dollars with virtual surround sound speakers and a six inch sub that can't hit under 40 or the 300 dollar z-5500 which comes with 5 speakers and a huge freaking sub that can hit almost 30 hz? i got the companion 3 because i don't have space on my desktop or around me for rear speakers and they were more expensive. yes, this system has cleaner treble sound than the z-5500 but its overpriced and has sucky frequency response like all other bose products.
I was going to get these, but they are just way over priced for how good they are. my two z5500 set-ups can out pump and sound better than those. but nice speakers man. you going to get the 5.1 from bose and hook them up also? That would be sick.
Yeah bit too much on the price but yeag guess it worth it I mean the are just loud engouh for the room, why would you need louder and they're only media speaker if you want loud then best off get a home system but yeah they're give out 5.1 surround it's crazy ony 2speakers but I reackon but then those average 5.1 sets.....cheers

no...what you are hearing is what speakers sound like when they lack the potential to have TRUE power...the punch a bose system might have...the punchy type of bass is very easily achieved...what takes a lot of power and a large subwoofer is sustaining a low frequency in a way that it can be properly heard and without distortion, logitech speakers hit highs mids and bets of all LOWS perfectly...Z-5500Ds are better than any bose speaker set, do your research, i have..want more of a rant, PM me :P
xeonfuze 2 years ago
No, quite frankly, what YOU hear with Logitechs is boomy bass and muffled highs.
With Bose you get much better quality; smooth, transient, TUNEFUL bass, clear highs, and coherent mids.
Logitech makes great speakers, but Bose are better, arguably.
FeeLtheHertZ 2 years ago
well if you'd direct you attention to my previous comment, right at the end it says "think what you want, i guess i don't care" i really don't want to argue anymore.... agree to disagree?
xeonfuze 2 years ago
Yes! You tell them. Exelent coment!
MrHamit64 2 years ago
better then any bose speaker set? .. Haha
the logitechs are probably the only speakers you've ever heard. the z5500's are great, the bose 5's are more refined and more accurate though kid. You can't really compare the two anyway.. ones a 2.1 and others a 5.1.
xero463 2 years ago
so...if z-5500Ds were 2.1 they'd stll be better, anyways i use the Z-5500Ds as an example heaps because they are exceptional, JBL, Klipsch, Wharfdale, Yamaha, Pioneer home theatre systems are generally better than bose's home theatre as well. Z-5500Ds easily blow companions out of the water in my opinion, you can disagree but, you see i have actually done research not only into the brands themselves but the technology they both incorporate and how it works, so whatever
xeonfuze 2 years ago
lol took my wharfdale valdus 500's into a bose store to compare them and the £150 wharfdales could pump out more bass than the £3000 home theater, they also sounded a lot more balanced and natural. the sales reps even agreed lol
and at this point the wharfdales were on less than half volume, when i cranked them it was like an earthquake and the sales rep told me to get out lol
iloveaxxo 2 years ago
they are both shit, get real speakers, not pc crappy 2.1 or 5.1 cos there is a huge loss in sound at the crossover, and the subs are usually pretty bad
iloveaxxo 2 years ago
I totaly aggree with you. Just listen to how they devide the 3 violens. At least it sounds like there are 3.
MrHamit64 2 years ago
i know comments saying logitech speakers are better have no place in a bose comment section...but for the record i used to think bose was better once...but in the process of trying to prove a logitech fan wrong....i realised that bose were inferior in comparison...so whatever think what you want, i guess i dont care

bose is good, but in my opinion you could get much more for your money.
you pay a lot of money for the name "bose" and not the quality.
you can definitely get better ones for 600 $...
i have a system from "Teufel", it´s a german company which only produce loudspeaker for home entertainment and i´m very happy with them.good price-performance ratio
if you want to have a really really good system you can invest tousands of euros, but nobody need something like that for its home entertainment ;)

rich people that busy 10 sets of these speakers for their house. I mean, their mansion.
=P
seriously, some people do that (like my friend, damn)
ryanracca 3 years ago
These are $600? I remember seeing a BOSE speaker system at Target that looked identical but it was $99.
31Orcas 3 years ago
oh, maybe you just saw the stand for the speakers...
:D
ryanracca 3 years ago
There was no stand nearby! Only that one Bose, it was I think a Camapanion 3 or 5, no stand, just sitting on display on a shelf. Flat on the shelf with the subwoofer (Acoustimass Module) on the left.
31Orcas 3 years ago
the complete set?
coz I think the companion 3(only one speaker) costs like 100$...
ryanracca 3 years ago
I don't understand why people would want to buy it just for the name if it doesn't sound good. Obviously there's something about Bose sound that people like, be it not pure or accurate. And if you're rich, who cares about the price, all in the name of innovation I see it. Just look at their suspension system.

bose companions are to best sounding speakers ever-you just need the good quality input to appriciate it
hypolittleskittle07 3 years ago

Well u can buy a civic or an accord does the job but people who can afford it should buy the rest of the lot who cant will post their gibberish anyway i have the bose companion 5 and the klipsch and if u r looking for sheer power empty pocket recommend the klipsh else if u have the money and style go for bose.
prithvishm 3 years ago
I've had the Companion 5 for almost over a year now and never have regretted making the purchase. Some people find the Bose speakers to be overpriced which is actually true but not in this case, however. The Bose Companion 5 Speaker System is by far the best computer speaker there is available for any system. Some people say that the Bose speakers has bad lows and highs and are all mids but these speakers actually produce a much better quality compared to other brands available at the same price

I assure you that Klipsch Promedia 2.1s sound much better than anything Bose has put out, and for $150. I've used Companion 3's in stores before. They cost way more than the Promedias and despite that, the one I used made all the sound in the demo material sound mashed together. It did sound decent, but of course, the speakers put out less midbass than my Logitech Z4s (which is sad).
videoCWK 3 years ago
To continue what I said, that means that the sub fills in all the midbass. It sounds full and big in the store because the sub is right there with the satellites, so it sounds more like the sat's are putting out that midbass, but when you take it home and the sub is under your desk, the voices and explosions come from under your desk, not the satellites.
videoCWK 3 years ago
these speakers are good but its stupid that it connects through usb... basically makes your $100-$200 sound card worthless.
Umongaa 3 years ago
you can connect through 3.5mm, on the control pod, there is a headphone jack and a input jack, (connect through the input jack) which allows you to connect through 3.5mm jack instead of usb, hope that has helped, thanks.

Or if you don't want to spend $600 for a 2.1 system. Why? Well if you are a true audiophile you won't go with a 2.1 anyway.. and if you're not then the lower quality will do.
chrizftw 3 years ago
No, it's also overpriced if you can afford it. For the money, there's much better stuff out there. Think about it, if Bose was as good as everyone thinks, wouldn't they be THX certified? Wouldn't they be used in movie theaters and at concerts? And plus, most people who think Bose is good haven't heard anything better. I was once like that too, but all it took was a pair of Klipsch computer speakers to teach me how deep in Bose's marketing I really was.

canoeshoe 4 years ago
I have the Z5500 and Spherex 5.1 as well as the Companion 5. By far, the best quality in music is from the Bose Companion 5 system. But if you want a very loud system and don't care about the quality of the sound coming out of it, then the Z5500 is good for that. The Spherex 5.1 delivers comparable quality as the Bose but not as clear though its very loud at 100% volume, louder than the Z-5500s.
pinoyplaya4life 4 years ago
Whats the background music? I kinda like it hehe.
I can keep the volume at 40 out of 60 and the volume on my computer at 50% and it sounds really loud.
pinoyplaya4life 4 years ago
ive played with the set in person it moves around 315 degrees
WeeHaScootchy 4 years ago
Hm... I went to CompUSA and Best Buy and it turns less than 180 degrees. So I think mine is okay.
pinoyplaya4life 4 years ago
I have been listening to music since I got it a few hours ago and I'm a little disappointed.
pinoyplaya4life 4 years ago
My Spherex 5.1 sounded way louder than these set however the Bose has a much clearer sound. So I guess it was worth the extra $120.00 to pay for to upgrade from my Spherex to Bose Companion 5.
pinoyplaya4life 4 years ago
Well it you like loud music these speaker aren't really made for it. However like they it the quality not quantity, loud speaker are usually not clear.
modifiedboi 4 years ago
If this system has an USB connection, and my computer has the Audio Blaster Audigy card with 4 different coloured muffles, it means I cannot connect the BOSE system to that card, right ?
Collin2377 3 years ago
to answer your question, the cards make absolutely no difference as the bass module contains its own. (i worked for Bose) just use a Usb port and change the setting in cntrl panel to 5.1 surround and your good
Fip101 3 years ago
i cant believe you traded in your spherex system!!!!! those speakers are hella bomb. The company that makes the speakers are top notch, way better then bose.
J41V33 4 years ago
I know! The only reason why I got the speakers was because this guy who came to my work when I was working at CompUSA he was gonna buy all 5 that we had in stock. I was curious and I ended up buying the 5th one. He told me about mirage speakers and stuff. so I bought one. But then they are just too bulky and i have no space in my dorm. they sound great though.
pinoyplaya4life 4 years ago
can i know the title of the song?
and who is better between this companion 5 and your new yamaha tss 15?

Ya....UNTRUE 5.1 sound. That has nothing on my Logitech Z-5500 with DTS 96/24, THX Cert, Dolby Digital Pro Logic II..that's true surround sound for a computer system~ It even beats most HTIBs.

not exactly like 5.1 but this system is very very clear and clean and gives very good ambience for the the background but in some ways you can get a little more from your money for the exact same amount but if you like these better go for it but if had the much money id probably get the logitech z-5500 but what i like about those is that they sound exactly like the thearters and there more crisp then the logitech ones

i have a bose companion 3 series II system and its nice. very clean sub and speakers. the only problem is that bose SUCKS at subwoofer frequency response. they can hardly hit anything lower than 40 hz. and their hometheater products are overpriced and have bad build quality. if your buying home theater stuff from bose, you are wasting money because you can buy much better speakers for less money. go for klipch or paradigm or B&W.

modifiedboi,
hahaa you're a fucking loser if you think Logitech won't last. My friend's Logitech Z-640 is 7 years old and is still working perfectly. Expensive means nothing. It's about the sound quality and these aren't good in it. Not true 5.1 surround sound. And those drivers are like what? 1 mm?
calvinyuenblinke 4 years ago
Wooo well you and your old shit are cheaper YOU cheap ass and me loser? Your the loser because you CAN"T affort it that's why your complaining. Pfft 7years? 21years! found at my grandad :P AND YOUR 1mm
modifiedboi 4 years ago
Mine is 7 months old.....$535.99 they still sell at Best Buy? And it has DTS 96/24, THX Certified, Dolby Digital Pro Logic II. It's a digital system not like your shit. I don't see Optical/Coaxial out on your crap. I don't see a 10" subwoofer either.
calvinyuenblinke 4 years ago
And yes I can afford it if I afforded my system. Even if I can afford it, I wouldn't even wanna buy it. It's a crap system giving you fake surround sound.
calvinyuenblinke 4 years ago
The only reason you bought them because they were "best buy" meaning cheap with alot of useless stuff. USB is the new connection style with simple. FAKE surround? probably than your 5.1 because I've heard your *because it everywhere* too common and your just another logitech sound quility person * thinking logitech can compare to old skool brand and hardcore brands like Jamo,JBL, AR, BOSE, Jensen, Boston..........etc
modifiedboi 4 years ago
califasio,
I know you know Logitech pwns this shit. No highs, no lows, must be BOSE. BOSE- Buy Other Sound Equipment. And they sound 5.1 MY ASS. Still not true 5.1 surround sound. They're just way overpriced. How can it sound good out of those tiny drivers.
calvinyuenblinke 4 years ago
Well guess what you know nothing, and why bring your ass here because I don't wanna see your stinking ass logitech (CHEAPO)

a bose system for 400 dollars with virtual surround sound speakers and a six inch sub that can't hit under 40 or the 300 dollar z-5500 which comes with 5 speakers and a huge freaking sub that can hit almost 30 hz? i got the companion 3 because i don't have space on my desktop or around me for rear speakers and they were more expensive. yes, this system has cleaner treble sound than the z-5500 but its overpriced and has sucky frequency response like all other bose products.
Paolomondo 4 years ago
I was going to get these, but they are just way over priced for how good they are. my two z5500 set-ups can out pump and sound better than those. but nice speakers man. you going to get the 5.1 from bose and hook them up also? That would be sick.

Yeah bit too much on the price but yeag guess it worth it I mean the are just loud engouh for the room, why would you need louder and they're only media speaker if you want loud then best off get a home system but yeah they're give out 5.1 surround it's crazy ony 2speakers but I reackon but then those average 5.1 sets.....cheers
