no. they put a solid sheet of (plexi)glass over the pegs to prevent the chip from flying off the board. after this happened, they put the plastic grid over the pegs so the chip wont fall off, and if the chip gets stuck, bob (or Drew) can now use the trusty Plinko stick to nudge it down.

Well, in THIS case the chip did get stuck..and Bob didn't want to put his hand in there, for fear he'd get hurt. He could've used the stick.

Yes, I KNOW there's glass. That's to keep the chips from flying off the board. But in case a chip DOES get stuck, as seen here; Bob (or as of now, Drew) uses the Plinko stick to retrieve that chip.

The thing is he didn't use it, and he should have (as I said, had he used his hand, he would've gotten hurt).

What a moment right there. That was I guess a flaw with the paned-glass Plinko Board. The Plinko stick could not get used unless it was used like a golf club hitting the board. Of all the Plinko chip I have seen get stuck that way before; Jennifer thought she could do it herself without making it seem that way. Bob, do you own the Plinko board? It's Goodson's now. That moment I feel was one of the more memorable Plinko Moments because it required something other than the Plinko stick to get out.

On top of that, there would be no use for the PLINKO stick! Thankfully the design that you see today is the ideal one for the Plinko board. The chip can't slip off the board, and if it gets stuck, the stick can easily be used.
