the idea of making a new game is to upgrade the graphics and continue the story line, at least in battlefield the graphics and gameplay have gotten better and map sizes have increased where as call of duty maps have gotten smaller and not changed, everything looks the same all the people look the same the guns are the same the game modes are the same they just need a full upgrade and just need to make a new line of game change everything about it.
