Surely you have great potential. Do you train some throws also? At my judo training place there are kids that easily throw me over hip or over shoulder during practice.
I was also practicing on ground with them, here I was going passively letting them to apply techniques or trying to break from their holds, so the man on video does, otherwise he can just lay over you, pressing with his weight
I have trained a few throws but it's not a big part of my training. I haven't studied Judo at all yet but it's on my list to do soon. The smallest guy in the video probably isn't using all of his strength.. it's hard to tell actually but he wasn't a real big guy either. I think he might have weighed around 130 or 140.. I'm truly not sure though.
You should learn judo also to take on such bigger men. For example shoulder throw is easy to apply on higher opponent, if you bend your knees and push your butt against his thighs he'll flip over like fly! It's important not to bend your spine just pelvis to apply throw without much strength. Then start grappling from top position.
hmmm.. I sort of disagree. My experience has been that judo lacks things you need in a fight. It has technique, but that is not enough. But anyway. You seem to have a real chance at becoming a really good fighter. Just keep up the good work. And also. Keep an open mind with the techniques. If it really works, it's good. And train to achieve your own style, not to learn to do what others do. Yeah. Good luck
he might be using all of his moves not 100 percent though, dude im 12 i do the same thing train with adults, they use da moves but dont go 100% , if they did the could just lift us up and siit on ius the whole maytch
The kid seems to know a lot of good moves - well done! But the man is clearly not using his full strength - if he was I think he would have no problem getting out of the locks. It's physically impossible for a small boy to beat up a man!
now a 12 year old who has trained since an early age possibly could, especially if there is a skill and experience imbalance. Not to be political correct, it just can happen. Of course that it is not the average kid
I known one 14 year 65kg weight kid judoka that beats men easily!

Very good! The only advice I can offer you is to keep your posture up. Remember to look up at the ceiling, and always keep at least one foot on the ground unless you trying to pass guard, etc. Even then, if it doesn't work right away, it's best just to recover a sturdy position and try a different approach. Keep it up!
i want to spar you....

Hey kid. I dont think he's going 100%. It looks to me as if he is giving up all those positions (mount) purposly.
