@lakepurdy1 I grew up using a coil electrice stove and didn't like it. (Pans weren't level and the heating was uneven.) I also cooked on a gas range at school. I didn't care for the smell (put in the natural gas) or the residue it left on the cooktop. Having said that, I have been cooking on an electric radiant cooktop for the last 20 years and I LOVE it! It's clean, doesn't smell funny and I find the heat control to be very satisfactory. -Cindy
@zeltzin123 I don't find that it does. In fact, they mainly put salt in butter as a preservative so that it keeps longer on the shelf; not to change the flavor. I would not want someone to pass baking something delicious because they didn't have the right kind of butter :) -Cindy
@harwoodpodcast i never was..made these now more than a dozen times! best cookie i ever made.
on a side note, you have to be careful not to over fill these or they can overflow over the cookie and make a little mess but man these are good! thanks cindy/you tube ;)
I make some cookies that is kind of similar. I take some flour and mixes it with sugar, smoulder some butter in it, adds a spoon of milk and one egg mixed together in there, make them to balls, make holes in them, heat some frozen rasberry into jam, pour it in, in the oven for 15 minutes, and done! it's even easier.... remember to pour EXTREMELY much rasperry jam in it, it's the best... oh and make many...
@prettymel66 The only cheese I'd think about replacing the cream cheese with would be mascarpone. Shredded cheese won't melt the same way, so I don't think it would work. In many countries cream cheese is called "Philadelphia." Check to see if that might be available where you live! -Cindy
@KIMCHIUDON It really depends on how big you make the balls of dough. You could go quite tiny or quite large with these cookies. The ones I show in the video are medium-size and, as I recall, I got at least 3 dozen cookies. -Cindy
Absolutely! The only recipes of mine that you couldn't use a hand-mixer are the ones where I'm making bread and using the mixer to knead the dough for me, like in my "Daily Bread" podcast. -Cindy
Hey Cindy- in your honest opinion, do you find baking in a gas stove better than an electric, or is the opposite true?

@SweetDreams1430 The same as most cookies. After about 3-4 days they can start to get stale. - Cindy
