pretty good job on this song. I know how hard it is cuz I played it in my high school back in 03. if you guys have to play again, I would work on your tempo cuz it seems that sometimes you would start speeding up
@usmc100784 Yeah I agree, that was definitely a problem on this run-through. I really think we improved on that issue at state though, so it's all good :) Thanks for the feedback!
Probably the best on Youtube in terms of note accuracy. :D My friends and I are doing this next year as our ensemble, hopefully we get it this good. We are 3/5 of the way in without falling apart . :)
Bass Marimba should be a lower octave if possible, and it started a bit slow. Other than that, this is one of my favorite Metric Lips recordings on youtube.
@TheDaleMail Thanks! :) We tried putting the bass marimba player on the same marimba that I was using, but we found a few spots where that didn't work out - so unfortunately we had to move him up an octave. We did, luckily, get to borrow a larger marimba at state solo and ensemble and received a one rating :D And I agree we probably could have started a bit faster. I appreciate the constructive criticism :)
definately a little rushing but overall very well played. in a ensemble tht might b playin this this yr
