Panth can shut down a lot of burst AP champs in mid and its quite easy with his Q. Enemy panth in that videos doesn't know how to play mid panth. And as you read the comments, Kass is not good against AD champs like that. He's too easily zoned and shut down.
Pantheon does much more damage and kills kassadin 1 vs 1, therefore kassadin will get zoned. Your opposing pantheon played bad ^^. At the Point where Kassadin gets strong, Pantheon will already have a huge gold advantage and Kasadin will be underfarmed and loose his overpowered midgame..

what'd he start with a doran's blade? there's no way you should beat him mid... he should at worst take one of your spheres, but since the range is the same as a spear toss he should be trading very well against you (spear, leap, and melee while blocking your melee, all for one sphere hit)
anyway, you seem ok, but I think it's more that he's really bad
Pantheon and Tryndamere are both better champions than Kassadin, but to be able to beat Pantheon using Kassadin is pretty impressive for the guy playing Kassadin and sad fro the guy playing Pantheon.
against a good farmer u ll surely go down after the 7th 8 th minute! i mean u barely ll have 60 creeps at that time and he ll be like 100-120 minions thats gold worthing about1300-1800 which means u are dead in 1v1 situation with him plus u can do nothing in the teamfight! Bad farming= bad game!
@cozaki There is so much wrong with this comment. Minions are worth around 17g, 40 x 17 = 680g. And not even god tier farmers can pull of 120 minions by 8 minutes, it's literally not possible. And even if it WAS possible, noone would pull that off against such an aggressive kassadin play.
@BertyLohani sry but if u dont roam and just stay in ur lane until lvl six u ll probably have about 70-80 cs at least which means 80-100 cs in 8 mins are possible! using ur skills not to miss even a minion is possible too! with some mana regen runes u are able to stay in ur lane for 8 mins at least! Plus if u were against a good AP carry in mid it wouldnt be as easy as panth!

Panth's spear has a really short cool down, and when mid that should be the skill he is maxing. This means if he was more aggressive he should have been the one forcing Kass back (before level 6), since he shouldn't be jumping in for a HSS anyway.
While I'm not saying a Kass can't compete, or better a Panth in mid, a decent player should have done a lot better then that.
but.. tbh.. he could kill u if he wanted, kass got his Q and maybe the E if its charged ,his melee sucks the big one, so if the Pantheon just pressed on ,he shuld get you to recall, hug tower or die. am i missing smthn?
@ddeeaammoonn Yes, everytime he gets in range he gets nuked with a silence spell that deals 1-2 bars. pretty tough to just jump on a guy who can slow and silence him, while being focused by minnion waves. And once kassadin hits 6 he has his ultimate, so i dont think there much he can do but hug his own tower and farm.
@Zioniu that all so powerfull silence has about 8 seconds cooldown, and as i said the E spell isnt always charged, so in the mean time kass gets some ass whoopin ofc if he doesnt have his R, couse then hes just hard to kill but making him recall is benefitial too.
well played.but owning mid with kassadin is not dificult because he is one of the strongest nuker in the game + he got free flash. the only champs that annoy me with kassadin are noncasting autoattackers.thats kassadins weak point because he needs to safe his mana and relies on his enemys to cast...
Colby, I love you and your videos but you eat a lot of creep aggro. Kassadin can easily zone out a Pantheon while getting 6/6 last hits and staying perfectly topped off with mana. I've zoned out a Ryze, Tristana and even another Kassadin, I think Pantheon would be even simpler to stomp.
Shouldv'e showed you laning against an MF or Trist mid, we'll see how easy it is. Also your harassing came at a huge cost seeing as you barely got any creep kills whatsoever. Imo I like to last-hit with Q unless they're being so aggressive I need to scare them a bit.
