  • why are you so obsessed with space for water??

  • @cilvrado It's important.Try and tell me you've never had a water bottle in your car.

  • I want to buy my first car and still I have not decided between the a1 and a Peugeot 207, both cars are pretty good, I have been inside of them in driving tests. The 207 has a better equipment and a lower price round €2000 less against the a1 (by the way, I'm mexican and the price difference is translating the mexican peso to euro), but the a1 is a premium car that really has good back seats, I'm 1.80m tall and is a decent space for me. What car will you suggest me to buy?

  • @xor2g

  • does anybody know what the release day for this is in the us

  • @OperationXD I dont know but it seems that until 2013, but a weird thing is that here in Mexico it is already available sicne 2010!

  • Its like really weird that in Mexico its available since 2010 and it is still not in the US market!! I have already my A1 and its amazing!

  • Dont see any haters here from BMW and MERCs.. where have they gone now?? Oh wait.. must be waiting for THE BMW and MERC to copy the design.. and everything good Audi has..

  • @MrPheral I'm just here around the corner..loading up my gun..bmw forever

  • @jzy0104 BMW is forever for losers..like you

  • @MrPheral its not my argument here but why is BMW for losers? is it because you wish you had one but you cannot afford to keep it? ... i know i would like one (well unless you are from US where even student can buy a muscle car, than my apology's)

  • @MrPheral lol you are funny..you are looking at yourself when you commented it.coz you can't afford any of it.lolololol

  • @jzy0104 haha.. my friend.. I drive RS5 and can still afford it at 3 times the price (considering the conversion rate) of what you pay in UK ?

So fuck off .. and go rob a store!!

  • Too expensive for a supermini! You can get a citroen ds3 for about 2000euro less!!!

  • @laskonstas euhm just so you know the problems on the DS3 are terrible, you drive a toy car, its all plastic. unlike the audi whos actualy made of good materials.

and if you dont want your car anymore in a year of 4/5 you get a decend price for the audi unlike the crappy citroën if you got the choice go for the A1, you will regret it if you choose the DS3 instead

  • @theUltimist don't know... the ds3 materials look really upmarket (mat also agrees in the carbuyer video of the ds3)... the engine is built by citroen in colaboration with bmw so the french unreliability shouldn't be an issue there... howerer you are right that audi has a better reputation in making more solid cars that hold on to their value better...

  • @laskonstas thats the same thing my friend thought, now he has the car for almost an year and he had to bring it in to the garage like almost every 2 months, then again my uncle has the c5 full option, its a verry nice car except he has the same problem as my friend bring it in allot, as i say citroen is no quality its full bugs and cheap materials, unlike the audi, dont get me wrong i dont say the audi is perfect, but i rather spend an extra 2000 on a real car, then a unfinished car

  • @theUltimist thanks for the tip then... I've never owned a french car but know all about the unreliability... It surely can't be compared to german or japanese reliability! However I thought that citroen was catching up with the latest models, but this doesn't seem to be the case after your friend experincing that many problems.

  • @laskonstas totaly agreed with you that you cant compare german wwith french cars, tho the only french car i would ever trust is peugeot, they have been making some good changes and producing quality, im happy i could chare my experience ;)

  • Bring to Canada, please!

  • It's just a Seat Ibiza with an Audi badge. No joke

  • Not joking really is a useless car, have a mate who got one and unless your not looking to enhance the performance (since i take it most here are posers lol) there's no point buying one. Top comment is delusional the A3 is twice the better car in fact i'd recommend getting the S3 over the A1 since allot better specs

  • Comment removed

  • theres 5 door avaliable soon in some markets

  • is this a womans car ?

  • @subzzzuk1 yes

  • the engine on the 2010-present Audi A1

    Engine

    1.2 L TFSI 63 kW I4 petrol

    1.4 L TFSI 90 kW I4 petrol

    2.0 L TFSI 188 kW I4 petrol

    1.6 L TDI 77 kW I4 diesel

    2.0 L TDI 105 kW I4 diesel

  • best supermini it shits over vw polo or a ford fiesta.

  • Bring it to Canada, Audi!

  • @CR4YO I´m guessing It will arrive to Canada soon, since it has already arrived to Mexico (it was one of the first countries to receive the A1), and the U.S will soon follow, so I imagine Canada will get it in mid 2012.

Best of luck getting it by the way!

  • i want one. how much do they go for?

  • UGLY!

  • At least in Sweden it's available as a 5-door now.

  • Looks a bit like a Lancer from the front.

  • Mat is completely ridiculous that for you the seat height adjustments of this car are positive, but for the alfa giullieta were negative... seems obvious to me that you do not have the same evaluation criteria for all cars. Stop trying to be funny and be more natural and more unpartial with your job.

  • 1:04 subwoofer place !

  • HE COMPARES EVERYTHING TO A BLOODY MINI !!!

  • @wilsonredjj

Well thats because its a mini rival

  • @wilsonredjj Well this one and the DS3 have to be compared to a Mini, they cost roughly the same and they are both the same type of car, since they were designed to compete in that specific segment, so comparisons to a Mini are understandable.

Which one would you rather have? By the way.

  • BMW x1 review please

  • @aziz5627 its there now :D check their channel

  • Ugly fucking car ! It's £20,000 top spec ands its just a polo that looks like its had a stroke......

  • I hope to sse the review from the AUDI A1 SPORTBACK soon ! :)

  • If you want the best discount on any new Audi A1 visit our website autoebid.com

  • I saw it on the road and it`s extremely ugly. Shitty design!

  • VW is a popular brand. Audi is a luxury brand.

  • why are you comparing audi a1 with a polo and skoda ina audi with 1.4 you get turbocharged engine with 185bhp i you can get that in polo and skoda but at the same price as audi and i would go for audi i mean it is an audi

  • I wish Audi sold these here in America! : /

  • @road2stamfordbridge They do in Latin America ;)

  • DECISAMENTE MEGLIO L'ALFA ROMEO MITO! costa anche meno

  • the 2010-present Audi A1 is assembled in

    Brussels, Belgium

  • I got this car as a replacement car from audi when they were working on my A3 ant it is AMAZING !!!

it is so far ahead any of it's rivals, i even prefer it over the a3

i had the 1.6 tdi model for a weak and the TORQUE was very impressive

i have had a bmw 118, mercedes A180 and now an 2.0 A3 and the A1 easily has twice the torque

get one now, you can even get them in matte with 20" rims :D

  • @xor2g haha, yeah, the A1 is a nice car. I personally don't like the A3, especially the look if it. I'm dying to get an A4, though, haha. They look frkn awesome <3

I personally don't like the A-class or B-blass Merc either, but the C-Class is probably even better than the A4.

and 20" rims sounds like it'll look really good, but the firmness of the suspension would probably suffer :/

But, the A4 is just awesome (Y)

  • The interior on the a1 looks quite similar to the VW polo. Its just a shame the rear doesn't.

If you can afford the running costs and insurance. I would get a used audi a3. For around £10-13,000, you can get three year old 1.6 sport or diesel with less than 20,000 miles.

  • @Knightrider03 n have a punto 1.3 JTD my life for 10.000 euro with cash for clunglers some have old punto's of 15 years or older reliable ennough I think

The punto Racing 85 hp costs about 14 000 euro with all options except leather seats cheap ennough I think

for less than 19 000 euro you can have an alfa mito full ops with leather seats that is a buyer!

  • a very expensive VW Polo with audi badge. Try out the 3 cyl diesel and you note you ride a tractor

  • @215alessio, last time I check Audi A1 didn't have the 3 cyl diesel ... also... even the 3 cyl diesel used in the polo 1.2 TDI greenline (the last one, not the previously made one that came from a Lupo) is pretty silent (considering it is a diesel) ... but yes... too expensive, Seat Ibiza and VW Polo are better options given the price. Also, if one considers the old chassis used in Polo's and Ibiza's previous generation, Skoda Fabia beats them in price (while having the same engine)

  • @ogatobranco Fiat punto evo beats them all on quality and performance with lower price... yes the a1 has the 3cyl tractor and no they are not silent they are very noisy and clanky

  • @215alessio

Just to make sure I just checked: In my country Audi A1 has only 1.2/1.4 TFSI and 1.6 TDI engines (no 3L), cheapest one costs 19500€

Also, here, the most powerful Fiat Punto Evo has is the 1.3 Multijet Sport 95hp, it is a good engine and quite economic, costs 19500€

In comparison, Skoda Fabia 1.2 TSI 105Hp base model costs 13500€

Some insurance companies rate the Fiat Punto Evo and Fiat Grand Punto as one of the less reliable cars to buy (I blame the past Punto's generations).

  • @215alessio A VW Polo is almost the same price as an Audi A1.

  • @hello9949 Nope. VW Polo is much cheaper here in India($13,023 USD) cos its assembled here locally but Audi a1 is a complete imported package. Costs about 42,662 USD. Audi however has a production plant in India but they r assembling A4, A6, Q7 etc but no A1 as of yet. If they do, much cheaper and a tough competition for other premium small car brands.

  • @emotivesoloing A VW Polo here in Britain costs a minimum of £10,000 (760,000 Indian Rupees) depending on the model and an Audi A1 here costs a minimum of £13,000 (990,000 Indian Rupees)

  • @hello9949 VW is much cheaper than that. talkin about the base model here. if the A1 costed that much here, my god id buy one right now!

  • Comment removed

  • @GamerAndReviewer omg you kidding me ? VW's are unreliable ? :O Get me a car that costs as much and is better then

  • @outlander131 Ehmm... Volvo, Opel (Vauxhall), BMW (same prices as Audi), Alfa Romeo and many more.

  • @GamerAndReviewer

First BMW's cost the same and have the same quality ! Why do you think audis would sell if they costed the same as BMW's and have shittier quality ? And who said Opels, Volvos and Alfa Romeos cost the same as audis ?? they're cheaper, and there's NO way you can compare quality of build between those... ah btw Alfa Romeo makes only 3 models and volvo just recalled all the S80's because of a powersteering problems :)

  • Don't attack me, but I personally think it's a really ugly car...Just an opinion, I love the whole Audi range from A3 all the way to the Q7 but the A1 is ugly, and so is Q3 and Q5

  • @flip92 if u want to rlly have fun driving go for the bimmer, but, it seems to b a lot smaller than this, preferably I'd go with the A1

  • Should i buy this or the BMW 1series????

  • Yeah it has an automatic transmission

  • audi's golf lol.

  • does it have an auto transmission version or just manual one?

  • did anyone else notice the ipod connection in the glove box seems ridiculous ? Are you meant to drive along with the glove box open so you can change tracks?

  • @MrHubb1

The controls for the ipod are through the car's MMI interface with song info displayed on the pop-up screen.

  • @MrHubb1 Don't tell me you never have heard about MDI Systems, When you plug the iPod in the glove box, you can control it since the radio!!!

  • yeah this audi, is the only small car i've seen you can seat on the back XD ,(well except for bmw series 1 )mini: don't think of it fiat 500: not a good idea

  • woow , a review in the sun :D

    amazing audi :D

  • overprice...just a volkswagen badged audi

  • Pricey//Don't get much for your money.... This car is for people who want an Audi, but can't afford it

  • The rear resembles '90s Opel Astra

  • wtf is wrong with those silver accents in the back of the car???? looks stupid

  • i drive bmw x 1 and it s realy boring and not comfy like audi a1 why u always tell silly comments about audi and vw comparing to bmw

  • ugly and overpriced

  • Car looks good, but it is too small for long trips. I think...

  • @FSXgta I have one and have done some lengthly trips. It really feels like a bigger car when you drive, so it holds the road wonderfully unlike other small cars which might feel a bit unstable. So it's not tiring at all to drive on long trips.

  • Love this car. Audi is the best ever.

  • I think it looks like a Fiat 500! just me?

  • I totally agree with this review!

  • I prefer the Golf Polo GTI. The A1 is too pricey.

  • UGLY

  • ''The most desirable'' Reeeealy??????? I would much rather save the change and get the Seat Ibiza :-/

  • i wish i could afford this as my first car!

  • im 18, and my audi a1 comes in next week :D

  • the mini-killer from ingolstadt!

  • When will this be in the US

  • I would rather have it's vw sibling...polo...but I would go for the polo GTI....

  • "audis are synonymous with style quality and desirability...."

SHAME THEY AREN'T SYNONYMOUS WITH DRIVABILITY

  • head room at back is a no no for me...

  • Pick one thing

    -Fun to drive

    -Comfy

  • I'm really tired of hearing commentators whinge about steering "feedback." I've seen two reviews on this car. One guy loves the "steering feedback" and the other claims it's non-existant. Who really gives a flying fuck about "steering feedback" anyway?

  • @TheLostSurveyor You're obviously one of those dickheads that don't know how to drive fast. cornering speed for u is probably non-existant. let me guess U R AMERICAN

  • @pollumG Actually I am an American. But I drive everything I own to it's limits. I also love going out and driving the hidden mountain roads here in Southern California with absolutely no destination in mind, but the drive. I simply don't like the arbitrary comments of some auto reviewers. I doubt half of them, not to mention their audience, know what "steering feedback" is. Except that it's something that makes themselves appear more knowledgable when talking about it.

  • @pollumG I guess I should point out that I have never owned an American POS car. I know where every one of my cars limits were or are. As I have spun them all at least once while pushing those limits. Judge much?

  • @TheLostSurveyor

Thats why u've spun it cos u can't drive!! only joking.....yeah i agree. i've spun all my cars back in the days so then u should out of all people appreciate what steering feedback is. most generic german cars have crap feedback apart from the new beamers especially VAG

  • @pollumG Of course I appreciate it. But it's also not an all or nothing prospect with me anymore. Since breaking my neck among other things in a very bad accident. Comfort has moved waaay up the list. But but it still has to handle well and have power. I'm thinkin an SL65. I may be gettin older but I ain't dead yet. :)

  • @TheLostSurveyor if you have that sort of money buddy get a proper supercar not a dressed up hairdressers car!!!! 458 italia? superleggera gallardo? aston martin DBS?

mate if you were serious about an sl65 you wouldn't be lookin at an Audi A1

  • @pollumG Those are some excellent choices. But as a business professional I need to be a little more conservative in my selection. Though the Aston is definitely still an option. As is the Bentley Continental. Whatever I end up with. It will definitely be a convertible. Living in San Diego makes that a moral imperative.

As far a the A1 goes. I'm a petrolhead. I read about all kinds. Since I'm still stuck at home in recovery and will be for a while. It's something to pass the time.

  • @pollumG well aston drop top oozes style and professionalism. good luck!!

  • Will this car make it to the US? Please!? Lol.

  • @GrahamCrackers94 audi has said theyre considering bringing it to north america for 2015

  • @RyguyCC actually no. I bought mine like 2 days ago :) AMAZING!!

  • I really love this car, it's everything that I want in a car! But I was wondering, would this be a good first car? Because I turn 17 next year and I'm just worried about how much it would be to insure etc.

  • I just love Audi! <3 and i think this will be my 1st car! =D

  • @xEnOn6xOxO same!

  • @xEnOn6xOxO yeah if you're drowned in money and happy to pay insurance which will cost more than the car

  • @MPOTW Put the car under your parents name as the primary owner and you a secondary driver. I'm 19 and thats what I've done, insurance is cheaper than if I bought a 1 liter Corsa like most beginner drivers.

  • @Epionea Good luck claiming when crash and getting a proper NCB.

  • @roundtr1p I don't intend to crash. Had a Volvo C30 2.0l before the A1 and never had any scrapes with it.

  • @Epionea Just make sure you get a proper NCB because if you don't your gonna pay loads when you get your own policy. Often when you front your insurance they dont give you one. I think Direct Line do and a few others.

  • @roundtr1p Hmm I shall look into it, thank you for the advice.

  • @xEnOn6xOxO Your FIRST?

  • helpful review ...thanks

  • great car for 2

  • definitely ugly rear.

  • Lovely looking car, will hopefully own an A1 one day :)

  • ugly rear?

  • @back2back22 Stop talking about yourself like that.

  • I wouldn't swap my late 2009 Fiesta Zetec S for one!
