I think the point of euugene's remark is being missed. It's goofy to represent a team, Leopard Trek, as the Champions, when only Cancellara is a champion, and the core of the team, the Schleck's, haven't won the Tour. No one is a champion who has not won championships. Duh.

A world champion is someone who's won a world championship title. E.g., Mark Cavendish is now a champion. Cancellara was the world TT champion. Still, having won the world title, he can still be called "a champion". All champions are winners, but not all winners are champions.
