Brother/Sister! You have misunderstood the meaning of the verse. The meaning of the Ayah is not for living things only but all the creations including Living and non-Living things. In this ayat all the things including mountains, stars, planets prostrate themselves to Allah(SWT). If you read the meaning of Quran in correct way meaning directly from Quran or more better directly in Arabic then it will make you understand otherwise reading books written against Islam will not help.
