Most farm equipment and "heavy equipment" run on "off-road" fuel, gas and diesel that doesn't have taxes paid on it. I guess they'll stop that too eventually.

I am a truck driver with of course a CDL license. AJ is right in that it cost considerably more to renew a CDL than a normal drivers license. The kicker will be what it cost these guys to go to school to get their license. There could be some older farmers with limited education that might have a hard time passing the CDL exams. This law is like everything else with the govt. total B. S.! Some farmers better get on the phone right now before it is too late!

The MAIN ISSUE here is not the inspections per se. It is them claiming the right to ENTER YOUR PROPERTY in the first place!
By licensing your farm equipment gives them a license to enter your property at will.
Of course it is just a rule because it is in reality unlawful. This is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. It beggars belief that this has got as far as it has.
