I managed to get iAtkos v7 working, and I assume other distros would be similar, simply by booting the computer over and over again until the installer loaded. Boot flags like -v -cpus=1(or 2), -x, or any others didn't seem to make a difference. From memory I had speedstep and the dual core option enabled in bios. I'm posting from a 1520 hackintosh at the moment, once you get lucky and the installer loads Osx loads everytime and works great

Can u help me i really need to install OsX It doesn't install on my computer heres what i did: I burned kalyway and iatkos with amd patch to a dvd then i restarted my pc with dvd then when the darwin boot screen comes up i went on verbose mode and some command loads up and then it restarts my computer. hey! try this out. make sure ur cpu does support atleast sse2. if its support try a new dvd iatkos for amd. u can find in minova. and check the one post downloaded. if u already have it i mean if u are sure its the one for ur pc, coppy it with very slow dvd writer speed. 2x good enough. after all reset ur bios setting. take out battary and put it back. set ur bios. defaulth. but check usb controller on. and set ur boot loader to cd room secondary boot loader should be ur hard disk.

and format ur hard disk to fat with xp cd. when the format finish before its load the setup files u should power off pc. dont let it load any files. when the format say %100 done its will start load files. u should be really quick. after all its should work. first let cd room boot. if doesnt work try -v. than let me know if its work or not. maybe find other way. thanks

yes i did:) the motherboard does not support iatkos5i so the best way is find another motherboard. intel cipsets are best for this products. or sis or u can try other mac os x not iatkos. kelyway or ideneb. i already did it on many pc. even now i do it case by case for who wants it. :)

u should just use uphuck 10.4.9 it works great on most p4's. plus ur cpu is sse2 and u would be better off with tiger cause it dosent rely so much on sse3 commands. I mean it will still work but ur not gona get the performance u want.

I would not buy Mac for Notebook. No way, is far too expensive. Anyhow, I do have an iMac (Desktop Mac Model) quite excellent computer at a good price, which gave me hours of free virus and not restarting as my last PCs. In other words, iAtkos is the only form of leopard that will work on your laptop so ignore kalyway/iDeneb/others because they are guaranteed to not work.

If this happens when you're trying to boot from CD, it means that you CD is not good, or look at insanelymac for this error, I think it's because of your CD drive. Try to enter -v as startup option.

Hi, i have recently installed ideneb on my sony vaio VGN-NR10E/s the instalation works fine, i installed it on a partition and changed the file type to "journeled" or watever u call it in the customize menu i choose the nessersary drivers, and after the thing reboots, i see the apple logo for about 30 seconds then i se a blue screen for like 2 seconds then the screen goes all checkered with lines all over it, could u suggust a fix to this?

My network card is a Broadcom 440x and works out of the box, I don't know for your card, but try to install and look if it's detected by OSX.

I'm on iATKOS 2.0i now, and it works better than kalyway, for example my wifi card works at 100% with airport.

Ok, I think Darwin bootload can load OSX or Ubuntu because it lists all your partitions.

Or you can install GRUB but I don't know if it can load OSX.

I don't found guide for dual boot oxs/linux on hackintosh, only on "real" mac and it's not the same softs

You can use GRUB to boot any OS you want to. That's the beautiful thing about it. It's undiscriminating. It'll boot anything without question.
