@micadinz Aaaw don't sigh... The Beatles & Beach Boys begat ABBA... then ABBA and the Sex Pistols begat Bananarama... So in the bigger picture, if there was no Beatles there would not have been any of the above ;)
Summer of 1988. I was 14. I remember listening it in my walkman in a beach train station while a express train crossed the station at very high speed.
I would have loved to go up to Sarah, move the hair in front of her eyes away with my hand, and plant a wet one on her and say, I just couldn't help it. :)
Siobhan was my fav....always had the hots for her...from the days she wore the overalls in "Cruel Summer." now the brunette is hotter than all of them today.
It was fantastic to see this video when it was released after "Rumour" ran its course. "First Degree" wasn't the second single in the US so we got to see Sarah go from her very long (and boring) hair directly to this attitude-filled short cut (more punk) without the little bit longer cut in "First Degree".
Their songs hold up wonderfully well, they're one of the great Pop groups. Listening to their best tracks one could see why they're Britain's most successful all-female group. The video's good, somewhat cheap, and it could have done away with the Chippendale-like dancers, but it highlight's the girl's exuberance which complements the song well.
Keren was attractive. Too bad she had an attitude.
No wonder this kind of music still is fabulous. This kind of music they don't do anymore. I feel sorry for the kids of today that have to listen to really crappy music.
@whatthedeuce81 yea it is obvious they were lip-synching to a low-volume playback (for video purposes) and she saw something that made her say "fuck sake" to the other girl (at 3:29) and she whispered something in her ear. Maybe she was appalled at the gayness of the dude dancing? lol

I much prefer there music from 1984 than this, Cruel Summer is still and always will be there best tune. Plus i hate the production of this song, that Rick Astley kind of sound that i can't stand. Listen to Cruel Summer and Shy Boy and Compare, the older tunes sound so much better in my opinion.
@BattleshipStLouis Better than Cruel Summer?? Or Shy Boy?? I hate the production, sounds Rick Astley sounding. Listen to Cruel Summer again and you will hear what i mean.
